Need the most unusual/out there boys names you can think of

Baby due Jan 2025. Already have a girl's name picked - don't want to say what as it's too outing if anyone knows me on here, it's an unusual rarely used name but lovely and everyone we've told really likes it and we are very happy with it.

We can't agree on a boy's name at all. I already have a DS (previous partner) with quite an unusual name but still in the top 100 but my DH definitely likes more "out there" names!
Give me your favourite unique boy names for inspiration please! We've looked at thousands of names on lists and just can't find one we like for a boy whatsoever. I know we have plenty of time (and might not even have a boy) but with my son I had his name picked before I was ever even pregnant so I'm struggling not knowing!

I can’t hear Magnus without thinking of Matilda!

Always makes me think it’s referring to part of their anatomy … but perhaps that’s my own issue.

… I think it’s because of magnum of champagne which then makes me think of them toting one about … well .. anyway it sounds indelicate to me.

I also think those Maximus/ Magnus names are awkward if they are very tall/ wide( comedic) and worse still if they are rather small.

A few of these are probably nicknames and others are totally normal names - what on earth is Gabriel doing in the same list as Piccalilli? 🤣

Gabriel, Raphael and Valentine are all really common in the European country I live in and attract no interest as they're just ordinary and there are several of each in every nursery and small primary school... (female versions are slightly less common but still not unusual).

My parents had the most common names in their school years ( 6 girls with my mums, 5 boys with my dads). My brother lucked out as his unusual name was a middle name but my long, tricky to say, hard to spell name was my first name. My own kids have really common names as a result.

Could I offer you:

Percy
Lionel
Galahad
Aldous
Cuthbert
Hamlin
Willoughby

At least 4 of those I don't mind.....

Please don't call him Aslan. He's not a lion.

What about Hieronymus? Hero for short?

Have we had Pluto yet?

Sorry, late to the party and can't plough through seven pages.

Or Zero (e.g. Zero Mostel).

Also, I've spotted that Bacchus has been mentioned. Fab boy name of many layers.

I've been through all the posts and haven't seen Isidore. Is it so out of fashion that it can be considered out there, or is it just not that unusual? I thought it was worth mentioning if you like z sounds: it's less common than Ezekiel and doesn't have the same bible-thumping connotations.

Funnily enough, Lazarus is my husband's favourite and the name he is adamant we are having for a boy. I made this post to try and convince him of some other names

I love Lazarus. And Bay Atlas
