Just that really!

Sorry no.
It's pretty though

SlowlyLurking · 05/03/2024 19:47

No but it is pretty

Donthideyourlight · 05/03/2024 19:48

I really like it, but it's definitely not timeless. It's been trendy for the past 10 years or so though, so not exactly a flash in the pan either

MumMumMumMumMumMumMum · 05/03/2024 19:49

No I wouldn't say so, don't like it at all

GreigeO · 05/03/2024 19:49

How on earth would it be timeless given that nobody used it as a name until Harry Potter?

PiggieWig · 05/03/2024 19:49

Not timeless, no. It’s very current, but it is lovely so if you like it, go for it.

35pEnergyDrink · 05/03/2024 19:49

I think it’s currently the most-used pet name at the moment - or maybe last year. It might cause problems in the park!

FoxtrotOscarFoxtrotOscar · 05/03/2024 19:49

Makes me think of lunatic.

KirstenBlest · 05/03/2024 19:50

No

Laylea · 05/03/2024 19:51

I thought it was an old name 😄 I need to give my head a wobble, so honest replies welcomed!

Harry Potter

OlgaRhythm · 05/03/2024 19:52

I know three dogs with this name...

I mean, this is patently untrue. I know a thirty five year old Luna.

Cakey46 · 05/03/2024 19:52

Sorry but it's the name of pretty spaniels

CherryMaple · 05/03/2024 19:52

I also know pets called Luna. At least 2 cats…

OlgaRhythm · 05/03/2024 19:53

Lila
Lyra
Lily
Lucia
Lucrezia
Lucinda
Lulu

supercalafragilisticexpealidocious · 05/03/2024 19:53

Not timeless and classic in the least. Probably a good example of the total opposite tbh.

WhereAreWeNow · 05/03/2024 19:53

I know 3 people with cats called Luna. I would also worry about kids being mean about Luna/lunatic.

DullGret · 05/03/2024 19:53

No, it’s very ‘two years ago’, and will date very obviously to a particular period quite soon.

MyLovelyPurse · 05/03/2024 19:55

It’s a lovely name, I like it a lot.

But of course it’s not classic, that’s quite a strange question. I would be very surprised indeed if you knew anybody your age or older with that name and apart from Harry Potter it’s not a name used in any other films or books as far as I know. Also, given that it is trendy at the moment it is unlikely to be timeless because it will be associated strongly with this time period and will therefore eventually become dated after a while.

AmusedMaker · 05/03/2024 19:55

Sounds short for lunatic to me.

it’s an awful name.

izimbra · 05/03/2024 19:56

I like it so much - it's my dog's name. We shorten it to Lun (to rhyme with bun).

Cheripool · 05/03/2024 20:05

No I think this will be one of those names that dates fairly badly. It got popular really quickly and will probably fall out the charts pretty quick too. Definitely not timeless and classic.

TwistedCable · 05/03/2024 20:07

No. Makes me think of a dog’s name

Nudgethatjudge · 05/03/2024 20:07

I like it but every black dog near me seems to called Luna.
