AdrianaLaCerva · 06/02/2024 20:01

Axel?

(So sorry, bet you e heard that a million times but couldn’t resist!).

I like William.

ZoChan · 06/02/2024 20:03

My friend was Elenna Rose. She's so lovely you should name a daughter this.

Mexicola · 06/02/2024 20:04

Definitely

Georgia or Billie

or Oliver or Oscar

honeyfox · 06/02/2024 20:04

Elenna is a lovely name!

Wavescrashingonthebeach · 06/02/2024 20:05

Abigail Rose sounds nice I think

Daniel Rose was first one that came to my mind for a boy

I love Noa, Freya and Elodie with Rose. From your boys list Kit and Finn are my favourites but I think a name with more than one syllable flows better when using the full name - not that full names are used very often.

DoverWight · 06/02/2024 20:05

Mathilda or Frances

kandylane · 06/02/2024 20:06

I think any name you choose will sound lovely with Rose as a surname.
Out of your choices i think Alba Rose or Oliver Rose

Emry Rose
Eden Rose
Alaia Rose
Indy Rose
Nola Rose
Toby Rose
Leo Rose
Benjamin Rose

Hummusandstuff · 06/02/2024 20:07

It’s a lovely lovely surname. I’d pick a longish name for such a short surname.
susannah or Sebastian type of thing.

HmmmNah · 06/02/2024 20:07

For a girl I think I'd go with something with a few syllables so it doesn't sound like it's hyphenated. So to me Evie Rose sounds like it could be Evie-Rose.

Not overly keen on Noa, Georgie, Billie, Blake or Blaire but that's because they are not my style. They sound fine with Rose although anything ending in an R kind of runs into Rose. So Blaire Rose kind of runs together, if you see what I mean.

I knew an Annie Rose when I was younger. She was lovely. Her son was Matthew I think.

Boys I immediately thought William. Robert Rose I'm not keen on as it's a but of a mouthful for me.

Congratulations, hope you find a name you adore.

TomWambsgansSwans · 06/02/2024 20:08

To me Georgia Rose just reminds me of the One Direction song Best Song Ever (and I'm 40!)

Lyrics:
Said her name was Georgia Rose
And her daddy was a dentist
Said I had a dirty mouth
But she kissed me like she meant it
I said 'Can I take you home with me?'
She said 'never in your wildest dreams'

Normally I'd not think it mattered but realistically kids might still listen to One Direction because of Harry Styles.

Your names are lovely!

Billie Rose is very cute!

AreYouVanquished · 06/02/2024 20:08

Emmeline Rose

Thomas Rose

mnahmnah · 06/02/2024 20:08

I immediately thought Alexander / Alexandra

Dreamingofthishouse · 06/02/2024 20:10

Amber rose
alanna / elanna rose

I also have an Anna Rose and this ALWAYS happens which gets a bit annoying after a while as I'm always explaining that no, Rose is her surname.

FayCarew · 06/02/2024 20:13

Noa - Noah too popular
Georgia/Georgie - fine, also like Georgina
Blake - boy's name
Esme - too twee with the surname
Francesca - ok
Alba - no
Hattie/Harriet - fine
Billie - like it but not sure
Molly - like
Theodora - too many Rs. Not keen on it anyway
Freya - every other Freya will be Freya Rose.
Elodie - yet another Ellie.
Blaire - awful
Evie - every other Evie will be Evie Rose

Hattie/Harriet

Robert - too many Rs
Oscar - not keen on it but it flows
Oliver - ok
William - ok
Isaac - I suck Rose
Jack - doesn't flow
Kit - too short
Finn - too short

William

Otto as a jokey suggestion

theduchessofspork · 06/02/2024 20:14

Oliver or Francesca - think it needs a longer and quite grown up name

Or Alistair rather than Oliver? - as it’s so overdone

soveryoutingtosaythis · 06/02/2024 20:14

And now I'll name change back again 😂

Howmanysleepsnow · 06/02/2024 20:15

I was going to suggest Ellen for a girl. I’m changing my vote to Elena!!! It’s perfect.

for a boy- William or Isaac

semideponent · 06/02/2024 20:17

Don't forget Rose has a double meaning - think verb!

Lilith Rose
Imogen Rose
Boudicca Rose
Esther Rose
Judith Rose
Hannah Rose
Elizabeth Rose
Mary Rose
Catherine Rose
Anne Rose

A first name signalling feminine power and strength is quite in keeping :)

SquirrelHash · 06/02/2024 20:18

Titanic vibes 😆😆😆

William is great btw

I just need to post one of my favourite silly poems:

Emily Rose
Sat on a pin
Emily rose again.
