Elixa for a girl?

I'm quite a big fan of this but wanted to hear thoughts - I really like Alexa but don't want her to be getting compared to an amazon device for the rest of her life and I think this is just as nice.

Lexi would be better in my opinion.

As others have said Op, i just think of some kind of medicine/potion.

One of my daughters is called Alexia , our Alexa goes off every time I call her for something 🤣

I immediately thought of Elixir. It’s an awful name, don’t do it to her.

It sounds like:

1. a misspelling of elixir
2. a drug
3. a made-up name from a kid's fantasy novel.

It does not look or sound good.

Just call her ‘Alexa’ it is a lovely name and Amazon Alexas will no doubt be superseded by something else (possibly with a girl’s name too) in a few years.

Why would you want to saddle your child with such an awful.name. It does sound like a cough medicine.

Yes! That's what I hear too.

Also I just tested it on Alexa and she responded, DH came in and questioned who was licking who so basically other than a medication we've covered the major themes from the thread.

Genuine think it sounds like a vaccine or a weight loss drug as others have said. Feel really bad saying that. Sorry X
