Love it as it puts me in mind of Miriam Margoyles who I think is fabulous - but not everyone's cup of tea.

It's lovely and the Hebrew version of Mary. It's a name that doesn't date and suits both a child and an adult.

Miriam is a nice name and much better then some of the others that have been mentioned. I have known two one a child and the other ~40s. Go for it

It’s really nice! It’s quite a Jewish / Hebrew name so just might be a bit odd if you don’t have that heritage.

It’s a beautiful name.
I wish I’d called my daughter Miriam as a second name. It conjures up something light and pretty in my mind.

@garlictwist , the equivalent muslim name is Maryam. Miriam is from the Bible.

Love it. Was high on my shortlist but husband vetoed as we already know a little girl called Miriam.

We are Christian and the only othe Miriams we have come across have been Christian or Jewish, as long as you're aware people might link the name to a particular religion or culture.

But I still adore the name! And there are some adorable nicknames.

I like it - it was popular in Ireland about 60 years ago so most of the Miriams I know are that age, but I think a little Miriam would be cute.
