DP suggested it but I think it's awful! Look dreadful lol and would condemn our poor DD to a lifetime of having to say "it's same as Elsie but spelt.... ". Argh!

AnnaMagnani · 25/07/2023 12:45

Your DP can't even blame hormones!

Just no.

Aliceinunderland · 25/07/2023 12:47

How about LC?

feathermucker · 25/07/2023 12:47

Ridiculous. She'll be spelling it for people forever!

refreshingseahorse · 25/07/2023 12:37

Does your DP frequent r/tragedeigh/ ?

I was about to suggest this and also the Facebook equivalent Gin

CurlewKate · 25/07/2023 12:49

Good attempt-but a bit too much to be credible. 5/10.

AxolotlEars · 25/07/2023 12:49

Nope!

Easyontheeyes · 25/07/2023 12:51

You are actually joking

Sugarfree23 · 25/07/2023 12:51

Tell him to find an alternative spelling for his own name?

Has he got some form of baby brain?

Glad baby has a mum with some common sense.

RaininSummer · 25/07/2023 12:52

That is terrible.

saraclara · 25/07/2023 12:53

Apart from anything else, phonetically it's entirely wrong, so people are going to see it, and when their eyes have stopped rolling, pronounce it Ell-see-ee or Ell-sye-ee. Or even Else-yee. The one thing that letter combination can't make, is Elsie.

mamakoukla · 25/07/2023 12:53

No. It kind of complicates things and is confusing to figure out.

KirstenBlest · 25/07/2023 12:53

Èhllesyiiee would be even more yooneek.

TheYearOfSmallThings · 25/07/2023 12:53

Vairreey funnhee.

Whattosay81 · 25/07/2023 12:54

Just wow lol! Can this go in classics??

PriamFarrl · 25/07/2023 12:56

Sweet baby Jesus. What the fuck? He hasn’t even got the excuse of pregnancy hormones.

babysharkdoodoodedoodedoo · 25/07/2023 12:58

It’s SO bad ! It would be a nightmare for literally everyone to read or spell 😂😂 illogical too!

Baldieheid · 25/07/2023 12:59

As someone saddled with a bloody stupid name that I am STILL having to spell and correct pronunciations on 50 effing years later, I propose that anyone this stupid should not be allowed to name a child.

lunar1 · 25/07/2023 13:00

Alternatively, your husband could keep his existing name, and change the spelling to whatever that was. It makes about as much sense!

loislovesstewie · 25/07/2023 13:00

Why, just why?
This like the person I know who called her son this; Dgaque,
= Jake.

Greenfishy · 25/07/2023 13:01

What? No

Oceanus · 25/07/2023 13:03

It's not cute. Just sounds like the parents are bumpkins who can't spell properly.

Malificent1 · 25/07/2023 13:04

Leave the bastard Baarrstyaardd

BritInAus · 25/07/2023 13:04

It's up with with aaylivviah which I once saw instead of Olivia...

Fleur405 · 25/07/2023 13:05

I’m not sure that even spells Elsie. And it’s horrible.
