Please no chav.

No Blaze,Courtney-May, Minky-Rae etc.

My daughter already does not suit her name it is far to gentle for her even dh agrees (I am amazed by this) but I am flummoxed as to what we could call her instead as we had Nell, Annie, Constance and Dolly on our lists and neither of them fit either.

Any suggestions would be very welcomed, I really want to get the ball rolling sooner rather than later I think we have 5 weeks before we can't change it officially.

bea, fawn, monica, rosemary.

You do not have five weeks before you can't change your dd's name - you have ONE YEAR.

You must register your dd before 42 are up, but you can choose to register Baby Surname and then within a year go back and add her name.

So don't panic.......

WendyWeber · 20/02/2008 22:38

She is coming up to the year though, ik - somewhere way down the thread (can't find it now) jns said her DD is nearly 11 months, hence the 5 week deadline. (She was registered orginally, with the name Lily - that's what jns wants to change)

Eve.
The first woman and responsible for a whole lot of grief. That's one hell of a fiery girl!

ivykaty44 · 20/02/2008 22:49

Oh sorry - I didn't think once you had actually given the baby a name you were allowed to change it, thus having to call the baby baby if you were not sure what you would pick. You see a few on the indexes named baby surname.

justnotsure · 20/02/2008 22:49

Yes. What Wendy said.

there is always something new to be learned...I had no idea, lol...although, might be confusing if a child is called one thing for a whole year and then suddenly goes by another name, lol...

hunkermunker · 20/02/2008 23:09

She's gorgeous! Love her brown eyes and sweet mouth! It's strange, she reminds me of DS2 a bit - think it's the brown eyes and sweet mouth... I like Tigerlily!

annieapple7 · 20/02/2008 23:12

I can empathise..I couldn't decide on a name and finallyy called my daughter Lauren Rose then realised everyone seemed to be called Lauren and I went right off it. She didn't seem like a Lauren.

We had registered at 5 weeks then went back at 8 weeks to change the birth certificate, although the regsitry office still keep a copy of the first certificate too.

We finally went with Rose. I love it now. But I think she really looks like a Pippa!

I love Nell. Really strong.

I also like Morgan for a girl, very strong also.

I am glad I am not the only one who finds this difficult!

WendyWeber · 20/02/2008 23:13

Here's Disney's Tigerlily - it's her, isn't it?

justnotsure · 21/02/2008 07:48

YES! It really is.

Just wait until she gets hair.

Kate, Liv, Charlotte

WestCountryLass · 22/02/2008 10:13

I think Amber would be a good name for a feiry girl because of it's colour and Hestia because I think it means hearth/fireside in Greek (?)

So Amber Hestia Lily gets my vote

WestCountryLass · 22/02/2008 10:27

Also posted Nina and Seraphina (Sera)????

stringbean · 22/02/2008 11:36

Ripley. Think of 'Alien' - now that's one woman who knows how to handle herself!

josta · 22/02/2008 16:20

What a beautiful little girl, I think Tigerlily is very cute. I also think she looks like a Kinvara!

AdamAnt · 23/02/2008 10:32

I've just received the Tesco Baby and Toddler Club mailing and my goodness doesn't the model baby look like your Tigerlily Is it her? Or are they related?
