If I had a boy it would be Artery nn Art and a girl would be Ileum nn Illy.

She was trying out different letters at the start of her name, and this one stuck.

Haven't read the whole thread so sorry if I'm repeating.

Candida is positively posh and Melaena is out there somewhere.

And I nearly fell off my chair when a doctor came into the waiting room and shouted out for Jenny Taylor. The pronunciation didn't help. Grin I think her parents would have been simple countryfolk who talked about "our Jenny".

If Douglas (pouch of) isn't in the list he should be.

Unfortunately many anatomical parts are named after men, I can't think of a single one named after a woman. Are there any?

I quite like Oddi (sphincter of) but the child would probably be teased mercilessly in a generation that never knew Bill Oddie.

It has always quietly amused me that Amelia also means 'no limbs'. What a lovely name for a girl :/

I like Filtrim. Or Langerhans.

Also, how small are we going in terms of 'parts of the body'? Golgi is very distinctive :D

We've had flowers, places, old lady names done to death. Body parts has got to be the new name trend.
