Some lovely names here, including my own and DD’s 😁. No idea why people are coming on to throw shade - the question wasn’t what do you think of these names 🤷‍♀️

spiderlight · 10/03/2023 17:06

If I'd had a girl, she would have been Freya Rhiannon.

Cliff1975 · 10/03/2023 17:06

Annabel

Ludo19 · 10/03/2023 17:07

Bronya and Sancha my first cats names.

UncleHerbie · 10/03/2023 17:07

@ItsaMetalBand Fola is also a Nigerian name

Marigold. I love flower names. Also Bluebell and Lily. I just imagine a house full of lovely eccentric teenage girls all with flower names...

Lily is nice
But a load of flower and plant names makes me think of The Wicker Man ( the original version) with all the girls in the village having floral/plant names Grin

Yiayoula · 10/03/2023 17:09

Genevieve
Alexandra
Angharad ( vetoed by DH , sadly ! )

Isledelaray · 10/03/2023 17:10

I think Isabella is hard to beat for a beautiful name.

Sophia is lovely too. I'd have used either of those.

I also like Tatiana but don't think it would suit our normal welsh surname! Tabitha is gorgeous too.

dreamygirl25 · 10/03/2023 17:12

Arianwen
Morwenna

I love Welsh names.

HeartshapedFox · 10/03/2023 17:12

Ariadne. Ever since I heard the story of Theseus and the Minotaur

dreamygirl25 · 10/03/2023 17:12

Although, could argue that Morwenna is not traditional Welsh, but cornish! Before someone corrects me!

Passthechocolatesplease · 10/03/2023 17:12

Lola
Lalita
Sophia

Aoife.

Defo would’ve used it if I’d had a girl!

Love Aiofe!

It's funny how tastes differ. Some of the names on this thread are the last names I'd choose.

I have known a few Polish people over the years called Alenka. I think it's such a pretty name. I would use it if I were Polish. Which I'm not.

MoggyMittens23 · 10/03/2023 17:14

Adelita
valentina
rosa

PeonyRose80 · 10/03/2023 17:16

Sophia is my all time favourite but DH hates any names with A at the end.

Giselle is also a huge favourite but nope DH hated that too

so our DD has another beautiful name inspired but a very feisty but hilarious character we saw on a tv show we loved when I was pregnant.

LemonJuiceFromConcentrate · 10/03/2023 17:16

Aphra is my choice too. So nice to see it appreciated on this thread!

I didn't use it for DD because it didn't occur to me how much I liked it until after she was born. Not sure her dad would have been keen on it in any case.

KickboxingWanker · 10/03/2023 17:16

I think Lolita is a really pretty name - wouldn’t use it obviously - only met one person with the name who was Portuguese.

if Ds had been a girl, she would have been Caitlyn.

Orangello · 10/03/2023 17:16

I love Laura, but only the Italian ponunciation, not the English one.

Sugarfree23 · 10/03/2023 17:18

HaudYerWheeshtYaWeeBellend · 10/03/2023 17:02

Grace - it’s elegant, simple, traditional and simply doesn’t “age”

Grace was on my very short girls list. Along with Hannah.

PopsicleHustler · 10/03/2023 17:18

Katie
Ameera
Sumiyah
