My daughter’s names are my faves. She is named after a feisty white kitten who wears a pink bow and the youngest of the original Charmed Ones.

Seraphina for me it just sounds so pretty

I agree, I think that sounds very lovely, and rather celestial.

Adding to my list, I really like Halle, possibly based on Halle Berry, who I think is so attractive and gutsy - even if she's only playing a character in a film!!

The only one that makes me pause @SkyBlue20 is Navy. Merchant or Royal? I could imagine she would have quite a lot of crude jokes made about her name once she reaches adulthood

My husband’s thoughts, too, so we’re very unlikely to go with it. Just makes me think of the colour 🤷🏻‍♀️

I love Clover, from what Katy did!

I also love Katherine

@Namechange828492

do you know there is a book about grown-up Clover - Clover and another one In The High Valley. I found them in a library in the US when I moved here - lovely.

Nice to see DD's name on here a few times, it's not unusual but is uncommon.

I didn't use my favourite name, Lara, as we wanted to use a certain middle name and it sounded silly

I used to work with an Italian called Illaria which I thought was beautiful

Pretty but It's the feminine form of the name Hilarius, as in very funny!

Oh I love Astrid .. beautiful name
What’s it mean?

CoffeeChocolateWine · 30/03/2023 20:29

Happy to see my name and one of my DD's names on this list!

I think the most beautiful girls' name I've heard is Seraphina.

I would never use it though as all my DC have short names that can't really be shortened further. I'm not sure what a nickname for Seraphina would but I probably wouldn't like it!

I think Indira is absolutely gorgeous but I don’t think it’s a name you can use unless you have that specific lineage/heritage x

Lara - makes me think of singing and larks. Beautiful without being excessively frilly. Easy to spell and pronounce in any language.

Annemaria · 01/04/2023 15:40

Atsocta, Astrid is Scandinavian: means divine messenger, beautiful or impulsive I believe.
