I’m feeling a bit unwell tonight and it cheered me right up to see my own name and my daughter first & middle names on the first couple of pages 🥰

My favourites (aside from my DDs name) are Sofia and Alice.

Liesl- Ever since watching The Sound Of Music as a child, thought it was such a pretty name.
I also like Tabitha and Tallulah( there is one at my Sons School, every time he mentions her I smile-such a cute name)

My daughter isn't called this because I'm just not the kind of person who calls their daughter Angelica, but Angelica.

I get this.

I ruled out certain names for this too. I could imagine people looking down at me for using them. I liked Jade and Rose. A work colleague kept saying to me ' you do not want to call a child Jade'. I didn't realise it was a divisive name, I just like it. And my sister kept shrieking 'Rosie' at me in Sally Webster from Corrie's accent and laughing hysterically. It changed my name although I still think Rose is a lovely name.

I forgot Louisa. I love it!

But a neighbour was called Louise and I associate the name with her.

Love these. Cleis after the Sappho poem?

Yes! And such a sweet and elegant name.

Elodie (DH didn't like this when we were choosing names)
Eleri
Lena (pronounced Leena)

I really like Esme but couldn’t use it as it sounds ridiculous with my surname.

THAT'S the other one I was trying to think of but I kept getting stuck on Celine, and I knew that wasn't it!

Chooksnroses · 10/03/2023 20:11

Seraphina and Violet

journeyofsanity · 10/03/2023 20:12

Interesting and quite pleasing how different everyone's taste in names is. An Ingrid and a Bronwyn mentioned here. I always found consonant heavy names like these and Gwyneth and Morag harsh sounding but it's nice that others love the names.
