Jaze or Jayze

To be pronounced to rhyme with maze?

I prefer Jaze as it's simpler but my DP thinks Jayze looks more solid as a name. We don't like traditional names so James is off the menu. We liked Jay but it's a bit overdone and more boring.

They’re both awful

ThorsBedazzler · 14/08/2022 17:49

Jason.

crumpet · 14/08/2022 17:49

Not a fan, but is up to you. Will face a lifetime of Jay-zee pronunciations mind you.

CucumberCool · 14/08/2022 17:50

Neither imo

NoWeaponsOnTheTable · 14/08/2022 17:51

Another no for either sorry.

sanityisamyth · 14/08/2022 17:53

monicagellerbing · 14/08/2022 17:53

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 14/08/2022 17:54

Jay or Jason.

Or this is made up.

EmmaH2022 · 14/08/2022 17:54

Neither
he will be called Jay Z all his life.

Twizbe · 14/08/2022 17:54

Not a great name.

Could you do it as a nickname for Jayson?

Mrsorganmorgan · 14/08/2022 17:55

Neither!

DiscoBadgers · 14/08/2022 17:55

Have you considered Ballonz?

Nidan2Sandan · 14/08/2022 17:55

Oh, good god NEITHER!!

He'll spend his whole life correcting people and saying "no, not like that rapper"

AKnitterofThings · 14/08/2022 17:58

Neither!

UnboxedThoughts · 14/08/2022 17:58

Only celebrities can get away with "unusual" names for their offspring. Us mere mortals need regular, boring names in order to be taken seriously at job interviews and such like.

ANewNameANewDay · 14/08/2022 17:59

Good fucking grief. Neither.

UWhatNow · 14/08/2022 17:59

On God’s green earth - just why?

Whadda · 14/08/2022 18:00

What about Keith?

Luxa · 14/08/2022 18:00

Balonz has the z sound you're looking for

candyflossxox · 14/08/2022 18:00

Neither. !!!

TidyDancer · 14/08/2022 18:01

Is there a third option?

Favouritefruits · 14/08/2022 18:01

This is definitely a wind up, nobody wants to call their child ‘Jayne’

Namechange192727171 · 14/08/2022 18:02

Jace?

Luredbyapomegranate · 14/08/2022 18:02

Tell me you are joking.

It’s a made up name with ‘naughty boy’ written all over it. People will make negative assumptions about him before they even meet him - they shouldn’t but they will. Call him Joss or Joel or something.
