Hmm, it's not a favourite of mine I have to be honest.

Staynow · 30/07/2022 19:44

I've never liked it, always makes me thing polyester.

Staynow · 30/07/2022 19:44

*think

pimlicoanna · 30/07/2022 19:45

Drab

Thatboymum · 30/07/2022 19:45

I don’t like it at all it’s an old old lady’s name

TeddyTonks · 30/07/2022 19:46

Lovely name, I knew one growing up (I'm 35) same she was properly cool. Bit alternative, slightly aloof, comfortable in her own skin. Of use it, if DH let me!

TwittleBee · 30/07/2022 19:46

I love Esther... probably because the woman I've grown up with, names Esther, is absolutely cool and strong (as well as a load of other stuff too)

ODFOx · 30/07/2022 19:46

It is very cool and strong. If that is the vibe you are going for you have nailed it. Good job!
Also Harriet and Ruth, by the way.

Whataretheodds · 30/07/2022 19:46

Yes i love it

Friffle · 30/07/2022 19:49

Drab and downtrodden.

Dilbertian · 30/07/2022 19:59

I know a 10yo Esther. She's bright, hard-working, and quietly says the most outrageously funny things with a twinkle in her eyes.

(She's not mine.)

ofwarren · 30/07/2022 20:05

Lovely name

ColmanFlamingo · 30/07/2022 20:10

I mean it's nice, but it makes me think of a Sunday school teacher or similar. I don't think of it as cool.

hearmywomanlyroar · 30/07/2022 20:11

Love it

SkirridHill · 30/07/2022 20:11

I like the name. It's got a lot of strong woman history behind it, too.

LunaLemon · 30/07/2022 20:11

It’s dowdy and boring, sorry.

How about Erica instead?

noradelphine · 30/07/2022 20:13

Love it

KylieCharlene · 30/07/2022 20:13

I really like it and think it's a strong, cool and elegant name.
I'd like to be an Esther and would consider it for a daughter.

MacKenzieMcHale · 30/07/2022 20:13

I love it. It's unusual but not weird, strong but elegant. Works well for a kid or an adult.

blebbleb · 30/07/2022 20:13

I love it!

Quornflakegirl · 30/07/2022 20:14

I like it!

Mol1628 · 30/07/2022 20:14

Great name

Sandysandwich · 30/07/2022 20:18

Polyester
It sounds a bit lispy and prissy to me

CJones11 · 30/07/2022 20:19

I teach in a girls school and only came across one Esther which is a bonus in my opinion. Love the same!

DoNutSweatTheSmallStuff · 30/07/2022 20:20

I like it :)
