I really like it, I like Essie as a shortening too. I think she'd be a cool teenager

I love it. It feels strong to me. And the fact it has such a mixed reaction on here makes me love it more.

Just in case you might be worries about the reaction of your potential Esther to negative comments about the name, I have just shown mine and some of them and she is killing herself laughing. No damage done, she's a very cool, strong, independent and secure young lady.

If everyone was loving it i'd be worried it might get a bit too popular and lose it's charm.

I love that enough people think it's strong and cool for to to feel that I'm not wrong about this, but enough people dislike it that it will keep it's 'well known but not overdone' thing.
