What do you think of when you hear Sasha?

I love the name Sasha and wondered what other people thought of it. Would you think a Sasha was a boy or a girl? Do you associate Sasha with anyone in particular?

I think of it as a unisex name, but I associate it more towards a girls name. I think it works well for both. For a boy it makes me think of someone a bit bohemian and handsome, For a girl I imagine her growing into a strong career driven person. I don’t know why I have those associations because I don’t know anyone called Sasha.

Yes a dog I'm afraid, a German Shepard in my case.

Sasha is a girls name as far as I’m aware. I’m not keen on it, it sounds a bit harsh.

In my head its a dogs name. I used to know a lovely Pit Bull (owners pretended it was a staff cross labrador but it wasnt) named Sacha.

Sasha I mean

A 42 year old mum of two boys aka myself although I'm spelt Sacha. I'm named after the French singer Sacha Distel.

Sacha Distel was a (male) pop star when I was a child.
I don't know anyone called Sasha, but do know a dog.
It's lovely to say, a really pleasant sound, so would make a pretty girl's name I think.

I think of Beyoncé’s alter ego Sasha Fierce. It’s a lovely name though!

DD has a Sasha in her class, female. I think it's a unisex name, like Alex or Sam.

My name is Sasha,female,not Russian. I do agree though that there a lot if dogs called Sasha.

It is Russian Alexander so a boys name

I think that it's short for Alexander in Russia.

Only ever known dogs with that name.

Girl. One of the most beautiful babies I ever knew was called Sasha. I'd have used it for dd if ex hadn't vetoed it.

Boy. Short for Aleksandr.

Unless the person is russian, I think of a girl and an alsatian I once knew. I like it.
