Would your own name work as a baby name now?

Mine wouldn't, I don't think.

It's Belinda, but I go by variations of it. Was very popular in Australia in the 70's. But I can't remember the last time I heard of a baby named Belinda.

Do you have a nice timeless name or a dated one like mine?

Aw thank you! We love their names, even if they apparently aren't that popular x

Mine is a very classical 60s model 🤣 But I've seen it mentioned on here recently, which has surprised me, so maybe it will make a 'come back' 🤷‍♀️

I don't like my name very much, but my friends call me Dottie which I do like (not Dorothy!)

The register in my class at school consisted of Karen, Jennifer, Debra, Alison, Mandy, Belinda...you get the gist 🤦‍♀️

Mine is pretty timeless, although not very fashionable right now. I think it would work for a modern baby, maybe using different short forms from the ones that were most popular in my time.

@Blossomandbee

Mine is quite dated, it's a 70's/80's name but not one of the really popular ones. I've seen it mentioned on here a few times as a baby name but I don't think it will ever be well used again.
So is mine. My name starts with a K. Is it the same one maybe?

@Mumoblue

I think my name is actually “coming back”.

It’s Lucy.

Having barely met any other Lucy’s my entire life, I’m suddenly seeing a lot more little Lucy’s around.

MN tends to like my name, from threads I’ve seen- though someone called it “wet” once. 😂

How strange. I’m in Australia and there’s loads of Lucy’s of all ages here. Think there’s 3-4 at my workplace!

Mine in its long form is still used (although not hugely popular) but my shortening is definitely NOT a current name.

Yeay! I do always get compliments on my name but it is a pain having to spell it!

My name's Simone, it's well known but not very popular. I think it would still work today, although could be argued it's a little dated.
