Husband's awful name suggestions!

My husband's absolutely set on several absolutely awful names! I'm trying to convince him otherwise, but MIL and even some of my family are on his side. Don't know gender.
Please tell me I'm not going crazy, these names are awful

Jolene
Cosmo
Estella
Trisha
Kiana
Aliesha
Chastity

I honestly fear a child named any of those would be absolutely bullied. Any advice?

I like Cosmo for a boy and Estella for a girl. There's a space theme going on with them too.

I like Estella. Cosima is also nice, a girl's name similar to Cosmo.

I have encountered a few Indy's both male and female, usually short for something. Not to my taste but not terrible.

It seems odd that your dh's names are very inconsistent in terms of type.

Estella is nice. Jolene is actually nice but as soon as peers hear the song they would sing it at her constantly.

I could quite easily get onboard with Stella. Not a huge fan of the others. Anyway, it's beside the point if you don't like them. I know others disagree but I'm strongly of the opinion that the person who carries the baby for 9 months and then births it, gets the deciding vote when it comes to names!

Can you direct your DP toward the ONS baby names data the he can see what other people think are good names. There’s no need to choose something in top 20 but I will give him an idea!

Indie/Indy is gorgeous. Cosmo is quite sweet but I'm with you with the others. I hope children aren't bullied about their names any more.

Indy in America means the Indy500, a famous motor race.

MIL living with you doesn't mean you are outnumbered. She presumably chose or influenced the choice of her DC's name(s). If she has an opinion then I would visibly rule that out (unless I thought she was clever enough to use this against you).

I really like Cosmo. Don't mind Estella.

Cosmo is a boy's name, at any rate. Just show him Cosmo Kramer. That might grind that name to a halt.

I like your girls’ names a lot, but not so much your boys’ names.
