To ask you to help me name our son?

Help! We can't name our baby boy. We've been disagreeing about this for months now, and he's finally here and we're still no closer.
So can I turn it over to you, wise Mumsnetters? To offer up your best suggestions and help us stop referring to him as 'the baby'.
Ideally we don't want any royal names, surnames as names, or American popular names like Grayson.
Surname is Chipp.

Agree he needs a longer name. He looks like an Alexander or a Benedict to me.

Another vote for Alexander (nn Alex)!

I find that with a one syllable surname that a two or more syllable first name flows off the tongue easier. That being said - I love the choice from above of Elliott is lovely.
