Do you prefer Ivy or Winter for a girl?

Dd2 is due January and agreeing on a name has become difficult! Dh has vetoed all my suggestions and these are the only two names left.
One is an absolute love of mine and the other is dh’s favourite. What would you go for?

Ivy is lovely, Winter is awful.

It was my grans name. I actually wish I had chosen it for one of my girls. I think it’s beautiful

Winter. Ivy is so popular and sounds harsh to me. Winter is lovely. I don’t like Winter Ivy as a combination. It’s not the worst I’ve heard, but it does rather sound like festive candle.

Summer and Autumn are recognized as names, though, Spring and Winter not so much, for some reason.

Both nice. I prefer Winter.

Winter isn't really a name to me and I'd be expecting Winnie before long..

You're naming a human being, not a Yankee candle. Neither name is nice.

Both are great! Ivy can be either a first or a middle name, whereas Winter would be a good middle name with a more classical first name.

If she’s Winter everyone will shorten it to Winny which may have people neighing (happened to DD’s friend)

Ivy. Is Winter a name?

Neither for me either, and ivy is quite dated and reminds me of the character in coronation street. And winter isn’t really a positive name.

I like Winter more than Ivy. I don't like Winter Ivy together.
