Aquamarine1029 · 06/11/2021 11:55

I think it's pretty awful, sorry.

Changemusthappen · 06/11/2021 11:55

Unconvinced, the moment I saw it I thought- 'Horace Wimp, this is your life, go and find yourself a wife Grin. Sorry.

Darcy86 · 06/11/2021 11:57

Baby Horace. Doesn't work for me! But obviously the decision is yours!

MrsSkylerWhite · 06/11/2021 11:57

Don’t imagine teenaged Horace will thank you.

FrDamo · 06/11/2021 12:41

We have a Horace ancestor, long since departed and nobody has thought to resurrect it! Ditto an Ernest.

If you think you have the posh credentials to carry it off, how about Horatio instead?

Clementineapples · 06/11/2021 12:42

Maybe it’s pregnancy hormones but I seem to have thought up some shocking names recently, maybe it’s the same for you?

Ihopeyourcakeisshit · 06/11/2021 12:48

I mean this in the nicest possible way. Fuck No.

bunny1986 · 06/11/2021 12:59

DH wanted to call our DS Horace because of his great grandfather but didn't work with our DD name Cecilia so we went with Hugo which I absolutely love. Our other DS is called Rupert.

DramaAlpaca · 06/11/2021 13:00

I'm Team DH.

In fact I'm not. I'm totally convinced it's awful.

Ihopeyourcakeisshit · 06/11/2021 13:01

Bunny, are you frightfully posh?Wink

CatWarbler · 06/11/2021 13:02

Sorry, I rarely comment about a name I don't like, but please don't do this to your child 😂

AnneShirleysNewDress · 06/11/2021 13:05

Slughorn. It's a no from me too.

Tsuro · 06/11/2021 13:09

When I hear the name Horace I automatically think ‘The best of luck’. This is due to a man in North London called Horace who regularly used to say it - I realise most people won’t have the same connection!

Ikeameatballs · 06/11/2021 13:10

Awful name.

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 06/11/2021 13:11

101 Dalmatians

LiveForeverHappily · 06/11/2021 13:12

It’s awful. Sorry.

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 06/11/2021 13:12

did someone say Horatio?🤣

Horace
user1493494961 · 06/11/2021 13:13

Yes, for a pet.

BreadmanAndCake · 06/11/2021 13:14

When I hear Horace it makes me think Horrid. Sorry, it's a no from me!!

MysticCT · 06/11/2021 13:15

Sorry but it's awful. There were two old bachelor brothers in my home town called Horace and Cecil, both equally terrible names. They would be well over 100 now if they were still alive.

NotAnotherPylon · 06/11/2021 13:21

Hungry Horace. Going back a few decades to be fair. Bit like Pac-Man. I don't like the sound of it at all, no matter how many times I say it.

Namechangedforspooky · 06/11/2021 13:30

Showing my age here but it makes me think of Horace goes skiing- I can still remember the sound effects!

BlowDryRat · 06/11/2021 13:30

Oh alright then Blush I like Horatio too.

StrychnineInTheSandwiches · 06/11/2021 13:32

Possibly the worst name I've seen on here.

I would assume you hated the poor little mite.

Ihopeyourcakeisshit · 06/11/2021 13:34

Horace could get together with Myrtle on the other baby name thread.
