Is Frida a crazy name?

Love the name Frida for a baby girl, but is it too out there? Thinking Frida Kahlo whose art i love...

Not at all, I think it’s a fabulous name (but then I have a Greta, which has a similar vibe - I quite like the slightly clunky ones! )

I'd find it a bit 'trying hard to be cool'. But it's not an awful name in and of itself.

It's Jamie Redknapp's new missus, isn't it? I think it's a bit 'old lady'ish as 'Frieda' or 'Freda' (very much thinking Victoria Wood's 'The Ballad of Freda and Barry' here) but strangely less so when 'Frida'. I think younger generations are less likely to think it has 'elderly' connotations.

I think the problem is:
Frida- cool, arty, Scandi goddesses
Freda- connotations of Hilda Ogdenesque downtrodden drudgery.
