OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
BalladOfBarryAndFreda · 27/06/2021 12:02

For a girl, I assume?

I’m not keen.

Beeeeeeeeeeeeeep · 27/06/2021 12:02

Far too much

GreyhoundG1rl · 27/06/2021 12:06

It's a fecking daffodil. Behave.

Verbena87 · 27/06/2021 12:07

Too much for me but so are some much more common names and I quickly get over myself when teaching and see the person rather than my prejudice so if you love it, why not.

FelicityPike · 27/06/2021 12:09

No. Sounds (although I know it isn’t) like one of those Americanised made-up “yoonique” names.

Violetlavenders · 27/06/2021 12:12

It's a boy's name I assumed

Mpsister · 27/06/2021 12:12

Boys' name. I'm familiar with the name, but I really don't like it.

Mummyof2andapig · 27/06/2021 12:12

@BalladOfBarryAndFreda I think it’s a girls name

idontlikealdi · 27/06/2021 12:12

Sounds like a drug.

sleepyhead · 27/06/2021 12:13

Reminds me of old fashioned boarding school stories. I'm sure it's one of the flower names that used to appear in them, like Primrose.

Mpsister · 27/06/2021 12:14

Oops, just googled it and it's a girl's name. Sorry. I really thought it was a boy's name.

sleepyhead · 27/06/2021 12:14

Jonquil Cholmondeley-Farquarson likes hockey and lashings of bread and honey in the dorm after prep.

TheVanguardSix · 27/06/2021 12:17

It is positively awful.

Ellmau · 27/06/2021 12:17

I think it's lovely.

I used to know a Jonquil. (And yes, female.)

crumpet · 27/06/2021 12:19

I think it’s rather pretty

RoseMartha · 27/06/2021 12:23

No

flameprincess · 27/06/2021 12:28

It sounds like a mouthwash

IsadoraQuagmire · 27/06/2021 12:28

I used to know a Jonquil at school. I think it's pretty (she was horrible though!)

kimlo · 27/06/2021 12:30

I knew one, she must be in her 60's now.

Tiggerdig · 27/06/2021 12:30

I generally don’t like these kind of names but don’t mind this. I would assume it’s a boy though!

Stichintime · 27/06/2021 12:31

Only if they have siblings Sheneil and Danae.

ScribblyBaller · 27/06/2021 12:36

it's quite a clunky word

ODFOx · 27/06/2021 12:37

I have never heard of it as a name. It's a beautiful sound and pleasant to say.
For some reason it makes me think of clowns, but I couldn't tell you what the association is.

DinosaurDiana · 27/06/2021 12:37

If it’s for a boy I prefer Jonty.

TheYearOfSmallThings · 27/06/2021 12:38

I don't love it, but it certainly isn't yoonique or in any way chavvy, and it is certainly a girl's name.
