Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
JaffacakeJanine · 10/06/2021 23:10

I love it! It's so cute 😍

Marcipex · 10/06/2021 23:16

I know a 13 year old Elvis. I thought for ages that it must be a nickname but it’s not.
I suppose it’s okaaaay.

Talkwhilstyouwalk · 10/06/2021 23:18

Lovely for a dog!

SecondCityShark · 10/06/2021 23:53

Christ.

cookiecreampie · 10/06/2021 23:55

The poor kid

userlotsanumbers · 10/06/2021 23:56

Yeah but it won't be you getting flamed will it? It'll be the child, and that's the point.

MaizeBlouse · 10/06/2021 23:56

I get it. But just remember that you are naming a future adult person with their whole own identity and therefore you really have to ask yourself, should I really call my child Elvis?

WorraLiberty · 10/06/2021 23:58

@SecondCityShark

Christ.
Yes, that's probably a better alternative.
nancybotwinbloom · 10/06/2021 23:58

It will be ok on about 20 years

alexdgr8 · 10/06/2021 23:59

i worked with a man called Elvis, but he was from somewhere in the west Indies, where it is not so unusual i think.
he was also well over six foot and door supervisor build, so no one messed with him.

it suited him, and we never thought about it, but for a child in this country, i'm not so sure.

BikeRunSki · 11/06/2021 00:01

Have you seen Fireman Sam?
There’s a whole generation out there who don’t know the singer, but associate the name with an accident prone and not very bright animated Welsh fireman.

Youaretoocool · 11/06/2021 00:09

Hahahahah. Thank you so much for your rude inputs but It’s getting used regardless 🀣 as long as you’re not a dickhead in real life when you come across my son, I’m fine with that

@JaffacakeJanine you’re my favourite of the bunch 😍🀣

I met a South African Elvis once. It’s just not usable here though, sorry.

@nancybotwinbloom I don’t think that’s the case - Elvis Presley died in the 70s, over 40 years ago and almost 20 years before I was born, and he’s still 100% the association.

Greenmarmalade · 11/06/2021 00:13

Do it!!

Love it.

PattyPan · 11/06/2021 00:16

@Youaretoocool just give him a normal middle name so he can choose to go by that when he’s sick of people asking about his blue suede shoes

Terrazzo · 11/06/2021 00:20

I know of one at a club my son does, he must be around 5/6/7. It’s a hard no from me but hey, variety is the spice of life.

Your probably right.

When do you think it will be fashionable tinier elvis again?

Lunde · 11/06/2021 00:23

"Our Girl" fan? Gutted when he died

That’s funny because my first thought was Costello.

Youaretoocool · 11/06/2021 00:32

There are people walking around with the name Nigel and he’s not getting any grief, Elvis is cool

I used to know an Elvis! And he was English. He'd be about 60 now I suppose. People did often think his name was a joke, but he never seemed to mind.

TeamRick · 11/06/2021 00:37

My cat's called Elvis, it's a cool name! πŸ˜€
