Daisy Alice or Daisy Charlotte. I'd actually like both of these switched around with Daisy as the middle too

Dollywilde · 04/03/2021 13:22

I prefer Daisy Alice but think about initials as I wouldn’t do it with an M surname!

Ella is nice but looks a bit unfinished/nicknamey for me.

Fivemoreminutes1 · 04/03/2021 13:23

Daisy Charlotte

Sevensilverrings · 04/03/2021 13:24

Prefer Daisy as middle name, it’s not a name I can fit to lots of different professions and types of Woman (I know that’s my bias, but I’m definitely not a Daisy, and perhaps your daughter won’t be either)?

With that in mind.....
Alice is by far my favourite name in your selection, then Charlotte.
Daisy would work as middle name with either.....but it’s you choosing, so go with the name you love and you think your daughter, as a child, teen and adult, will love.

NewMum2021x · 04/03/2021 13:26

Ella daisy x

TeeBee · 04/03/2021 13:27

I don't think you can go wrong with any of your choices; they're all beautiful.

Spied · 04/03/2021 13:28

Daisy Alice
(Although I much prefer Alice Daisy)

PolarnOPirate · 04/03/2021 13:34

Ella Daisy hands down!

mistermagpie · 04/03/2021 13:35

Ella. Doesn't matter about the middle name.

Daisy is pretty for a baby and child but it's a bit girly and young sounding for me personally. I have a similar type of name and at the age of 40 I feel a bit silly introducing myself at my corporate job with it sometimes!

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 04/03/2021 13:35

Daisy Charlotte

Loathe Alice- thinks it’s frumpy
Ella is lovely but overused

partyatthepalace · 04/03/2021 13:36

Ella of the two

Though i prefer Charlotte or Alice as a first name - Charlotte Ella or Alice Daisy?!

Wimpeyspread · 04/03/2021 13:37

I have a Daisy Anne - she has had no problems with it, either personally or professionally

MissLucyEyelesbarrow · 04/03/2021 13:39

Daisy is lovely for a small child, but too cutesy for an adult, IMO. Better as a middle or nick name.

buntingandstarcharts · 04/03/2021 13:47

So here are my worries....

Would Ella be known as Ellie to friends? As we know, nicknames are out of our control and if Ellie was a possibility I wouldn't steer clear, purely as I just don't love it. Also, Ella could be just too popular and forever she would be know as 'Ella W'. Initials EW - is this mean? (Ewwww)

Daisy - I am drawn to more, but could she be a lawyer or doctor or truck driver? Would she fit in with all the poppys, lilys and no one would turn a blind eye to the perhaps slightly girlie name? I look at daisy ridley/daisy lowe/ daisy edgar Jones and think they seem powerful, independent feisty women yet feminine, so should the girlie element bother me?!

Alice and Charlotte can't be first names as husband doesn't love either.

Her bro is Arthur Hamish, not sure if that helps?

@TeeBee what a divine comment ❤️

*WOULD steer clear

I'd pick Daisy for the first name - it's less in fashion at the moment (there are lots in my mid-teen daughter's year).

I really like both Alice and Charlotte and have used one for a mn too. I think Charlotte runs better with Daisy but it's a close call!

Wimpeyspread · 04/03/2021 13:51

Well mine is in her 30s and loves her name - NOT a girly girl!
buntingandstarcharts · 04/03/2021 13:53

@Wimpeyspread so your daughter loves her name? This is excellent, thank you x

AnoDeLosMuertos · 04/03/2021 13:54

Sorry, I’m not a fan of Daisy. It is a weed after all!

buntingandstarcharts · 04/03/2021 13:54

@GU24Mum this is what I'm thinking - perhaps vowel girl names are just too popular atm and daisy is a bit different without being 'out there'?

Laila747 · 04/03/2021 13:56

I like Daisy Alice. Very pretty Smile

I’m not keen on Ella but that’s purely because I had a ‘friend’ at school called Ella and she stole my Neighbours annual Angry

TweeterandtheMonkeyman · 04/03/2021 14:02

Weirdly Daisy , Alice and Charlotte are my siblings names! My mother had similar taste to you back in the early 80s!

I like Daisy Alice .

SleepingStandingUp · 04/03/2021 14:07

Daisy - I am drawn to more, but could she be a lawyer or doctor or truck driver?
What exactly do you think will stop her? Will you take the toy cars from her and only hand her a dolly and a hairdryer? Or refuse to buy the magazine's with the little stethoscopes on the front?
