Hi!
What names did you love but just weren't brave enough to use?

Peregrine - I do love that name

Pinkjellies · 28/02/2021 17:42

Winter and Cressida, we’re definitely not posh enough for Cressida but I love it.

Luckily we had a boy!

I loved the name Wednesday (I still do) if DD had been born on a Wednesday I might have gone for it Grin

Rhapus123 · 28/02/2021 18:18

There's a Persephone in my DS1s class and she's great

LottaBean · 28/02/2021 21:20

Persephone
Temperance
Hero (we both loved this!)

topcat2014 · 28/02/2021 21:22

@jemillyp DD's friend was named Isis. Her parents changed her name to Iris. (DD is 14, so obvs this was pre and post events)

LottaBean · 28/02/2021 21:24

@Zarinea

Saffron. Suggested by DH who never watched AbFab.
Saffron is my sisters name. I've never met another.
Needmoresleep · 28/02/2021 21:25

Boniface?

(It was the name my brother chose for his confirmation. Lots of saints called Boniface.)

penguincross · 28/02/2021 21:30

We have a Juno. Suits her very well.

CorianderBee · 28/02/2021 21:38

I know a Balthazar and a Pandora.

I do live Hero for a girl but DP vetoed

FTMF30 · 28/02/2021 21:39

Brie makes me think of Desperate Housewives more than the cheese tbh.

CorianderBee · 28/02/2021 21:40

Oh I know a Boudicca too!

mnahmnah · 28/02/2021 21:45

DH really pushed for Indiana with both of our boys. I thought he was preposterous and was having none of it.
However... I actually quite like it now! For a boy or girl. Indy for short. Although it would sound stupid with our surname. I’m going to have to get a cat and call it Indiana now.

Roszie · 28/02/2021 21:51

Gloria and Queenie

Still love them both.

Horatio and Isambard for boys.

WrongendoftheSTIX · 28/02/2021 21:53

MrPickles73 · 28/02/2021 22:01

Yes we know an isis...

MrPickles73 · 28/02/2021 22:02

We have 'heard' of a Tiberius Grin

MrPickles73 · 28/02/2021 22:05

And we know a Horatio...

SusannahSophia · 28/02/2021 22:13

I really liked Melisande. This was long before Melisandre on GoT. Glad I had a boy...

CoffeeChocolateGin · 28/02/2021 22:15

Vivienne, Magdalene, Adeline. Love them all but I think family members would have teased us because they are foreign names. But still, I love the name we did choose.

felulageller · 28/02/2021 22:16

Aphrodite
Oakley
Andromeda
Cairn
