Do you know anyone with my potential baby name

Hello,
Esme is the frontrunner for our baby's name.
But I'm a bit confused as to whether it's popular or not. It's currently mid forties on the charts but when I've spoken to people they say that they know of quite a few.
Could be regional thing?

It would be great if you could let me know if you know any (and their ages) and also if you don't know any at all!

Thanks

LittleRa · 27/10/2020 19:58

I’m a primary school teacher and we have an Esme in Reception (4 years old) and I have a Blank-Esme (obviously not blank but an actual first part to the name that I won’t give as could be outing!) in my class in Year 2 (6 years old).

BewareTheBeardedDragon · 27/10/2020 19:58

I know one who lives in London - she's about 11

Scarby9 · 27/10/2020 19:58

I know one 30 year old in Yorkshire.
It's a lovely name.

Sevo7 · 27/10/2020 19:58

Of my Facebook friends I’d say at least 5 have Esme’s ranging from 1year old to around 4. I know another two at primary school, but there may be more. This is in Lincolnshire. It’s definitely one of the more popular names where I am, but is a beautiful name.

MarchionessOfMayhem · 27/10/2020 19:59

AliceMcK · 27/10/2020 20:00

I know of one, early teens. I think it’s becoming more popular as I’ve seen it on a few posts.

FlatScreenTV01 · 27/10/2020 20:00

I knew one aged 3

Sparklehead · 27/10/2020 20:00

I have an Esme (11) and know of one more (8). We’re in the East of England.

10questions · 27/10/2020 20:00

Ive never met one (Wales) and wouldn’t know if it was Esmay or Esmee.

Scbchl · 27/10/2020 20:01

I dont know anyone and have never heard of a child with that name in any of my three children's classes. We are in South West Scotland.

FlatScreenTV01 · 27/10/2020 20:01

Pronounced Esmay or Es me? Isn't it French with an accent over the e at te end?

2tired2bewitty · 27/10/2020 20:01

One 18yr old and one in each of nursery and reception at my dc’s school. North East

whatswithtodaytoday · 27/10/2020 20:03

I've heard three being called out to in parks since the summer - all toddlers. I noticed because it was my favourite girl's name. (I suppose there is a possibility it was the same child each time...)

East.

Gwynfluff · 27/10/2020 20:03

It’ll be popular in certain socioeconomic areas I suspect, in a cluster. I have a child with what was a top 100 name but in their school there were several.
