Don't forget the -jaemz so bubs can be referred to as JJ or LJ or whatever combination.

Whilst you like the unique spellings you need to think that this is not going to be your name! Your child will be correcting people their whole lives!

You need to realise that it will be a real child who will be going out into the world and not name it something strange and quite frankly misspelt for your pleasure!

And you also have to think that this child will be introducing themselves as an adult to people. Vocally.

The conversation will go 'Hi, I'm Gyrrauld'.

'Ah, hi Gerald'.

NOBODY is going to ask them how to spell their name, when it sounds as if it's a simple ordinary name. They are going to write it as they think it is spelled. So it is only going to be 'unique' to people who only ever see it written down (ie, the people who need to be able to work out what it is quickly...teachers, doctors, employers etc).

What about K8 for a girl?

Sadly in England they only publish if three or more babies are given the same name. Our only hope is that the op is in Scotland where they publish a list of all the names.

Ah, that's a shame. I'm in N Ireland and they publish every name here too. I had just assumed that it was the same everywhere.
