Not sure what we're having yet but think if its a boy will be either Leigho or Leaveiye.
Which do like best?

Also on our list:
Shadoe
Frankelyn
Chayse
Loquelin
Daevyd

Will do a girls one when narrowed down. XXXOOOBear

@BeingonFBdoesntmakeittrue Thankyou for your kind words. More people should be like you especially in these times.

I have five children.

I can assure you that they are all their own person. There isn't really any alternative.

And all of them can spell their names without having to resort to a second Scrabble set.

rosegoldwatcher · 26/05/2020 20:32

OP I know you won't listen but as a former teacher I can assure you that unusual spellings of first names causes nothing but embarrassment to youngsters saddled with them, especially when they are teenagers.

Don't do it @kahronah.

I recall a Sharkia (yes that was how it was spelled on official documents) who insisted that her name was Shakira cos her mum loved the singer. Everyone called her Sharkia because that is how it was spelled!

Just don't.

kahronah · 26/05/2020 20:40

What about Leighvi or Leavi then? i
Don't see the problem with Leigho

A hun of a hun I know called her babes Leigho. A few people mishear her and call him Lego. But who doesn't love Lego anyways. X

Pronounced Ledasha?

Myfriendanxiety · 26/05/2020 20:52

I’m a teacher and so have seen all sorts (and I bloody hate unconventional spellings that are impossible for me to learn when I eat 800 kids a week).

Leighvi I wouldn’t read as Levi.
Leigho I would read as Leo so although I don’t like any of the suggestions I would go for that.

Honestly though, you won’t come across as a mum who wanted their children to be individual. You will come across as an attention seeker who is poorly educated and can’t spell. I’m not sure you, or your children, want to carry that burden.

Chatons · 26/05/2020 20:53

Ptiff-fanny makes it properly feminine.

aFaintSeashellAroma · 26/05/2020 20:53

What about Boris. You could spell it like, ArseHole

Wow that’s some appetite

Twinkerbellsmum · 26/05/2020 20:55

Chatons · 26/05/2020 20:56

That’s just greedy.

LittleLeaps · 26/05/2020 20:58

Lack if sleep is definitely getting to me. For a moment I really thought about Kviitlyn as a name Grin

What about Arry for a boy? That's what my neighbour's ds is called.

Zaphodsotherhead · 26/05/2020 21:13

Keef? Keef is a nice name...

JustIgnoreTheMoanyCow · 26/05/2020 21:14

Some lovely names I have seen in nursery: LE-Rows, LC-Maii, Keyscia, Raynebeau, Daizie, Rewbenn, Alfii, Jawrge.

TheletterZ · 26/05/2020 21:16

Lee-oh is a sailing term than you are about to go about. Not good for a name.

IHateCoronavirus · 26/05/2020 21:17

How about our Keef or Keefah for that 1980s vampire feel?

FromDespairToHere · 26/05/2020 21:18

Myfriendanxiety you shouldn't eat that many children, people will start to notice...
