Names that make you go "wow"?

Curious post - What names have you heard previously or if you heard them would make you go "wow" (in good way) or a name you'd think was simply sublime? Interested to hear your wow names

Valentine. I think it's the most gorgeous name, DH would never agree though so I was never able to use it.

Mostly when it's a wow name it is not for a good reason.Not many children will thank you for a wow name.
With all the wanting a unique name not much thought is given to how the child may feel ,not all children want to be singled out by a name and it could be a whole new fresh hell as a teen.

Valencia, Valentina, Sierra. Basically names that would seem silly for a super northern European couple like myself and OH.

Vita. I’ve always thought it was the most beautiful name and would have loved to had used it for one of our DDs but it just felt strange with no Italian connections. Same with Valentina, and Allegra.

Upon reflection I definitely should have married an Italian man...

Is there really such a thing as a wow name?

I think it's more likely to be wooooooooo why would anyone name their child that, than WOW thats a great name.

I have a friend who's real name is Cat Wild her sister is River Wild - they are really clever, creative and fun women and they make everyone go 'WOW".....

I'm not sure what I think are 'wow' names.
Depends what constitutes as 'wow'.

Wow that's awful.
Wow that's cute.
Wow that's brave.
Wow that's interesting.

I think names like Valentina, Rafaela and Mila are so beautiful.

I'm not remotely Italian DH is forrin (Mediterranean) but he likes plain English names so that's what our kids have!

Angel - wow how could anyone saddle a grown woman with such an awful name

Kyson - wow it sounds so much like dyson

Bane & bronson - wow what a pair of awful names, made even worse that there's two

Olivia, anabella, something - may, Lilly, grace, Harriet, Margot, Charlotte- wow you've really played it safe

I remember finding out Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts daughter was named Seraphina and thinking Wow, I’d love to be called that!

Ha Snufkins - I was about to say that (I believe it’s pronounced ‘myparentsarebothdaft’)

The only name I’ve heard that made my say ‘wow’ and not in a good way, was a baby girl with the name of her parents’ favourite football team’s home ground hyphenated after a very girly name.

I won’t say it because I’m pretty sure she’d be the only person in the world with that name!

Valentine is fab. Would never actually use it though!

For girls, Hero and Isolde. Equally I'd never dare use them!
