Maeve, Margot or Greta?

Fussy husband and I have finally agreed on a shortlist of three names that we BOTH really like - it's a miracle!

Maeve
Margot
Greta

I'm very excited about these three, and expect I'll keep changing my mind on my favourite right up until the birth. I don't think I really mind which we go with. Curious as to which one everyone else on here prefers...

Maeve is lovely. I also like Greta. I’m not at all keen on Margot.

None of them for me (sorry!) If pushed I'd say Maeve, but they are so geriatric and harsh sounding.

Not Greta.
Just the association with Greta Thunberg is too recent for my tastes.
Maeve is beautiful.

To me Greta sounds like a witches name... maybe my brain associates it with Hansel and Gretel?

I think they're definitely a bit of an acquired taste but there's something I really like about geriatric ugly names 😅

But your daughter has to live with the geriatric ugly name that you admit is an acquired taste her whole life!!
I don't like any of them, but Margot is the best of the bunch.

Prefer Maeve

Margot makes me think of maggot and Greta seems like copying from Greta Thunberg.

Never too sure how to pronounce Meave. I Also not keen on short versions as Margot is short for Margaret and Greta of course Gretchen. (I prefer Gretel as a shortned version if any.) But if you must I,d say Margot.

I’m sorry but my first thought when I saw the names are “they sound like a pack of goats”.

As you can probably tell, I’m not a fan
