Is Skye a bit 'out there' for a name?

I like the connetations. Is it a bit out there though?

Skylar isn’t a Dutch name. That would be Schuyler. Skylar is the closest you can get phonetically, although it isn’t really a ‘sk’ sound at the beginning, it’s more akin to a cat spitting noise.

Not keen on Skye personally, as the Neighbours connection is too strong for me.
