Sebastian & ?

We’ve pretty much decided on Sebastian for our boy, although Elijah & Zachary aren’t 100% out of the equation yet.

Which name do you think fits best for his twin sister: Beatrix, Cecily or Penelope? We are still discussing Edith, Frances, Margot & something a little more ‘unusual’ - Hermione, too.

We aren’t wanting anything matchy which is why these are looking likely to be our top picks (Sebastian, Beatrix, Cecily & Penelope) but nothing is set in stone yet.

Older siblings are Aurora, Violet & Theo(dore - but is always Theo) Thanks!

I'd go with Penelope out of your solid choices, although Hermione is lovely if in the equation!

I have a Francesca and Sebastian. Not twins tho. But I think they go lovely together.

Out of your list I like Beatrix the best.

We do love Hermione but I worry with an Aurora, if it just looks like we name our children after things we’re fans of? 😂 We’re not fans of Harry Potter - in fact, I find it incredibly over rated (sorry HP fans lol) and just love the name in it’s own right just like Aurora. Having Aurora though, I know that most people’s first association is Disney and Harry Potter will probably be with Hermione.

Penelope! Love this name. I really like Hermione too actually.

I like Beatrix best. I love Elijah and Beatrix but Sebastian is nice too and goes well with your other children's names.

All the names I’ve listed our still options as we’ve not yet officially pulled the plug on them - I’m open to pairing suggestions for all the names :) Sebastian is just the only boy name that doesn’t share an ee sound with our girl options seeing as we have our concerns with Frances and Margot. When thinking about diminutives, I find Eli & Bea, or Eli & Cece a bit much, for example.

DH doesn’t really like Beatrice... He finds it stuffy where as he thinks Beatrix has a bit more of an edge to it 🤷🏼‍♀️ lol

Go with Penelope. I have a Penelope and I love the name - it is becoming increasingly popular though.

I like all your names, Beatrix and Cecily are lovely (also love Cecelia) and particularly like Frances.

Honestly though, now I’m thinking we need to go back to the drawing board as I was worried about Sebastian being too Disney with Aurora anyway. I’d never see Sebastian and think of Disney but others clearly do and I know how strong the connection is with Rora’s name. Ugh, my fault as I really struggle with boy’s names... Oh well, at least we still have time to sort this out lol. Thanks for the help guys.

Sorry, I thought I was allowed to have a joke too! It was in regards to the Disney name suggestions... My daughter would be great at suggesting them all, if that’s what I was wanting. It wasn’t meant to insult anyone’s intelligence and if it came across that way then I apologise. I’ve mostly gotten get feedback on this thread (and all my others) and I genuinely thanked people for that.
