We've managed to narrow it down to these three but baby's due in a week and we still can't decide for the life of us.

  • Sunshine
  • Symphony
  • Seawillow

I know they're not MN Approved names but hoping some people on here will have similar taste.

We already have a Honeybee and a Starling.

Not to my taste (at all Grin) but I think Sunshine is by far the nicest on your list and goes best with your other DC’s names.

Blondie789 · 10/06/2018 12:53

Poor kids

autumndreaming · 10/06/2018 12:54

Sunshine. At least then they can have the nickname Sunny

fearfultrill · 10/06/2018 12:54

Oh lord. Please don't. Poor kids.

Aprilshouldhavebeenmyname · 10/06/2018 12:55

Ah but Sunny and Honey not so good!!

Theusual · 10/06/2018 12:56

Sunshine at a push

Drchinnery · 10/06/2018 12:57

Ffs

EmmaC78 · 10/06/2018 12:58

I am not keen on any at all. You have to remember these children have to go to school and get jobs at some point!

Abetes · 10/06/2018 12:59

Yes, agree with PP. Not Sunny and Honey together.

autumndreaming · 10/06/2018 13:01

Oh yes. Maybe avoid Sunny.

Can you seriously imagine what your kids will go through trying to get a job? Unfortunately discrimination does exist!

GoldenMcOldie · 10/06/2018 13:02

How about Willow on it's own?

Glumglowworm · 10/06/2018 13:02

Please tell me these aren’t human children?

Sunshine would normally be best but Sunny and Honey are ridiculous together

Symphony is the next least worst option

But seriously, they’re all awful. You’re naming people who are going to grow up into adults, not stay as babies or toddlers forever. unless you’re naming pets or dolls in which case do what you like

Newerversion · 10/06/2018 13:03

Seawillow gets my vote, couple of great shortenings there too.

Chocmallows · 10/06/2018 13:04

Sunny (Sunshine) out of the three.

Do they have middle names or nn that they can choose when older if they prefer?

Many years ago I taught groups of children and many preferred a middle name. Sorry but it was because the parent wanted Demi, Thor, Rain or other unusual name and the child didn't.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 10/06/2018 13:05

SeaWillow is gorgeous.
Yes your names are made up and some would say a tad extremerly silly
However I suppose all names were made up at some point.

Jammycustard · 10/06/2018 13:05

Well. What a choice. Seawillow.

WeEatTheYearAway · 10/06/2018 13:05

I'd never thought of Sunny/Honey but Honeybee is usually called Bee anyway so would it still be a problem?

OP posts:
Daphnedolittle · 10/06/2018 13:05

Assuming you're genuine, Sunshine because it shortens to Sunny which is nice. Or Seawillow because she could go by Willow if she wanted.

flumpybear · 10/06/2018 13:06

I have a cat called Sunny and we call him Sunny sunshine so she could st least be called Sunny

Symphony - nick name phony? No!!

Sea willow - nick name see willy - no!!

All a bit hippy for my taste

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 10/06/2018 13:06

Plus she can always go with Willow if she wants

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 10/06/2018 13:09

Seawillow nn Willy.

I've never heard any bad connotations about the name William. Which also has the potential nn Willy.

WeEatTheYearAway · 10/06/2018 13:10

I'm glad Seawillow is getting more votes as it's my favourite by a little

Interesting to see a couple of people are assuming baby is a she (we don't actually know yet)

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 10/06/2018 13:13

With the greatest respect the names are very pretty and effeminate. That's why I assumed you knew you were having a girl im.sorry but i wouldn't give any of them to a boy. I don't think he'd thank you,to be perfectly honest

EmmaC78 · 10/06/2018 13:19

Expecting a male to go through life being called seawillow is really unfair on a child.

WeEatTheYearAway · 10/06/2018 13:37

Not meant to be a PA 'interesting'. I genuinely just find gender norms really interesting (dumb, but still interesting) but I think that's for a different thread
