We just cannot agree. Our baby boy is 9 days old. This is our first baby together - I have 3 others and DH has 4 others. Our naming style is just SO different.

I have namechanged in order to give you our other kids names.

His are Olivia, Jacob, Thomas and Joshua

Mine are Everley "Evvie", Embry and Easton. The "E" theme was not intended so not fussed eithe way if baby girl has an E name.

For this baby I adore the following:

Aubree
Kinsley
Sydney
Mallory

DH really wants Lorna- his mum and her idential twin sister were Lorraine and Laura. He likes Lorna to honour them both. I'm happy to have this as a middle name but not a first name.

Other than Lorna, the only other girls name he will even consider is Courtney which I really dislike.

What on earth are we going to name our girl??

Uhhhh he now hates Kinley

Awwwh bless you! Good luck OP!

Blueemeraldagain · 10/06/2018 20:00

I like his DCs’ names more but Lorna is awful!
What about Audrey? Like Aubree but more traditional?

FizzyGreenWater · 10/06/2018 20:52

Kerensa

Romy

Kezia

HarryLovesDraco · 10/06/2018 21:10

Good! Why do you like Kinley? It sounds like a Surname and it doesn't mean anything. Surely there must be some names in that vein that sound nice and mean something?

HarryLovesDraco · 10/06/2018 21:11

I love kezia and karenza. Cornish names might grab you?

That list is terrible Harry Grin

BlueTrousers · 10/06/2018 21:25

Oh thank god it’s not Kinley!

How about Melody? Or April?

lhavepassport · 10/06/2018 21:32

Trust your DH on this one, he has a good track record of naming DC. Hope you find something you both like.

HarryLovesDraco · 10/06/2018 21:36

They aren't all my taste but they have a similar sort of feel to Kinley, and at least some history and context!

RonWeasleysMum · 10/06/2018 22:07

I'm not bothered about history of a name. Or a meaning etc.

Dh has suggested Leona which i quite like.

FizzyGreenWater · 10/06/2018 22:10

CHESTEN? wtf, you might as well call her Boobatron

FizzyGreenWater · 10/06/2018 22:10

Not Leona Lorna though I trust?!

NoSquirrels · 10/06/2018 22:18

Leona is lovely.

Guacamoledip · 10/06/2018 22:20

Leona or Leoni is nice, good luck OP you have very different tastes, and I may be going against the grain here but I really like some of your choices, hope you can agree on something

JacintaJones · 10/06/2018 22:30

Sylvie
Romilly
Leocadie
Arden
Esmeralda
Ariella

JacintaJones · 10/06/2018 22:31

Leora or Leonora?

girlandboy · 10/06/2018 22:32

Leona or Laurena?

KilledByHerOwnCardigan · 11/06/2018 00:48

Lorna is lovely, and it's unlikely other kids in the class will have it. It stands out without being short-term trendy or overly twee.

AnyaMoondial · 11/06/2018 04:59

Leona is fab.

I know a little baby Liora which I think is rather brilliant too.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 11/06/2018 08:09

Leona is much nicer than Lorna, but I still like Mallory.😄

Sessy19 · 11/06/2018 08:56

SMH at ‘Octavia’...

Timeisslippingaway · 11/06/2018 09:06

What? At the top you say your baby boy is 9 days old, then go on to list a mixture of gilts and boys names and at the end you say what will we name out girl? Which one is it boy or girl?

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 11/06/2018 09:08

Leona is pretty. Do you like it OP?

EachandEveryone · 11/06/2018 09:26

Leona and Lorna both lovely
