Aneurin?

FintyTin · 17/06/2018 19:18

Well done @LadyGAgain!

Aneurin means honour, and the most famous was the Right Honourable Aneurin Bevan MP who was good for your health as he spearheaded the founding of the NHS.
A common nickname is ‘Nye’ (sounds like nigh).
Aneurin (different pronunciation, though) is an old name for thiamin or vitamin B1.
It seemed topical with all the programmes and debate about the NHS at the moment!

Over to you, LadyGAgain !

LadyGAgain · 17/06/2018 19:30

Oooh. Back in the game. It's been a while. Thanks! I need to have a think...

LadyGAgain · 17/06/2018 20:56

Here we go!

This nobleman has a distinctive voice famously featured in an animation based on Hamlet. His belief in Karma takes him on many an adventure.

MariaMadita · 17/06/2018 21:37

Elton?

diddl · 17/06/2018 21:48

James?
Earl?

finallychangedmyusername · 17/06/2018 22:09

Well played @LadyGAgain... Smile

Earl?

finallychangedmyusername · 17/06/2018 22:11

Ah shit... phone hadn't updated, @diddl got in there before me!

LadyGAgain · 17/06/2018 22:14

Well that didn't take long! Well done @diddl and also @finallychangedmyusername

Yes - an earl is a nobleman, James Earl Jones voiced Mufasa in The Lion King and My name is Earl for the Karma.

@diddl over to you!

diddl · 18/06/2018 09:09

A Wag, a scandal, something furious "from Plymouth".

FintyTin · 18/06/2018 09:26

Christine?

diddl · 18/06/2018 09:31

Yes!

Knew it was an easy one!

Christine Lampard, Christine Keeler, "Christine"-Plymouth Fury in Stephen King's book.

Just OT-anyone any ideas why this thread doesn't show in TIO??

finallychangedmyusername · 18/06/2018 11:03

@diddl, what is TIO?

MariaMadita · 18/06/2018 11:06

Threads I'm on, I believe?

finallychangedmyusername · 18/06/2018 11:14

Ah, ok, sorry I couldn't work that out! Blush. It's showing in mine. Smile

MariaMadita · 18/06/2018 11:15

It shows up in mine as well. :)

FintyTin · 18/06/2018 13:17

I didn’t know either, @finallychangedmyusername.

This lady could once have been a man, but not when she’s losing her hair. She can shine, but she could behave outlandishly and you may have to rein her in.

I think this one may be too easy, but not much time to come up with something, sorry. Smile

diddl · 18/06/2018 13:33

Just started showing in mineBlush!

For a while it was only in "Watching" even when I posted!!

diddl · 18/06/2018 13:53

Elizabeth?

throwcushions · 18/06/2018 19:28

Philippa?

FintyTin · 18/06/2018 20:28

Not Elizabeth or Philippa, sorry.

throwcushions · 18/06/2018 20:37

Clare?

diddl · 18/06/2018 21:19

Zara?

FintyTin · 18/06/2018 21:27

You’ve got it @throwcushions.

Clair (without the e) was more traditionally a male name.
Clare Balding.
The name means bright.
Claire Randall/Fraser is an Outlander.
Claire Rayner.

Well done, and over to you. Smile

throwcushions · 18/06/2018 22:51

Yay! Thanks FintyTin.

This chap could be a diamond or a prankster but he's not a very good fisher.
