Jonah?

FintyTin · 19/06/2018 07:52

Jeremy?

throwcushions · 19/06/2018 08:32

Right you are FintyTin! Straight back to you!

Diamond - Jem (gem) is a common nickname
Prankster - the late Jeremy Beatle
Not a good fisher - Beatrix Potter's Mr Jeremy Fisher

throwcushions · 19/06/2018 08:33

Beadle not Beatle!

FintyTin · 19/06/2018 14:19

I confess that was going to be my next name to set clues for, throwcushions. I was going to mention Mr Beadle, too, but I may have been uncomplimentary about a certain politician...so best that you got there first, I think! Grin
Here’s mine:

She may come out of the river by herself, or be used by a number of friends.
She speaks out against derring-do; but might help comfort you with a cuppa before she performs to the auditorium.

throwcushions · 20/06/2018 08:47

Ok, this really has me flummoxed!

I'm pretty sure it's wrong but- Taylor?

FintyTin · 20/06/2018 10:34

Not Taylor, sorry.

FintyTin · 20/06/2018 19:10

Another clue?

finallychangedmyusername · 20/06/2018 20:48

Yes please!

FintyTin · 20/06/2018 21:18

Her dad helps add another layer.

throwcushions · 20/06/2018 22:29

Jennifer?

finallychangedmyusername · 20/06/2018 23:01

Frances?

Bexter801 · 20/06/2018 23:11

Hannah?

FintyTin · 21/06/2018 10:39

No-one has it yet, sorry.

throwcushions · 21/06/2018 14:03

Ella?

Bexter801 · 21/06/2018 14:10

Same?

Bexter801 · 21/06/2018 14:10

Autocorrects fault! Dame?

FintyTin · 21/06/2018 19:50

Not Ella or Dame, either.

Bexter801 · 21/06/2018 23:14

I'm gone crap at this game!!

LadyGAgain · 22/06/2018 18:52

Barbara?

FintyTin · 22/06/2018 20:20

Sorry, not Barbara either. Another clue:

A very famous owner of the name (although it’s not her birth name) had very big hair in the 80s - so big that it could confuse a nit!

diddl · 22/06/2018 20:41

Anita?

trueblueari · 22/06/2018 21:12

Tina?

LadyGAgain · 22/06/2018 21:15

Cher?

FintyTin · 22/06/2018 21:48

You’ve got it @trueblueari.

“She may come out of the river...” - Tina is from the old English Tyne or Tyna meaning river.
“...or be used by a number of friends.” The name can also be a nickname for Christina, Martina, Bettina.
Tina Turner (“...confuse a nit...”) had big hair and also declared that “We don’t need another hero!”
Tina Teaspoon (Button Moon) might help with your cuppa, and Tina (performs to the) Arena.
“Her father helps add another layer.” - patina.

Well done and over to you! [smile)
