Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
FintyTin · 20/04/2019 17:40

Great clues! I’ll be honest and admit that I didn’t get the Sleeping Beauty reference, though. I must brush up on my Disney!

Here’s another:
This fragrant name has a certain ring to it. She often links up with her friends in summer, but be warned: she lives in a dangerous area!

finallychangedmyusername · 21/04/2019 21:41

Juniper?

Ladywillpower · 22/04/2019 05:42

Daisy?

FintyTin · 23/04/2019 13:37

Yes, Ladywillpower, it’s Daisy.

Daisy is a fragrance by Marc Jacobs, and Daisy Bell has a ring to it.
In summer she makes a daisy chain and may live in Hazzard County if she’s a Duke (maybe showing my age there Grin ).

Well done and back to you.

Ladywillpower · 23/04/2019 15:34

Smile I spent ages on the Daisy Bell clue & still didn’t manage to solve it!
Here goes
Left leaning journalist with a poorly toy loves a cuppa amongst the burnt coals.

finallychangedmyusername · 24/04/2019 19:26

Polly?

finallychangedmyusername · 24/04/2019 19:29

(Miss Polly had a dolly who was sick, sick, sick, journalist is Polly Toynbee, Polly put the kettle on) ?

LadyGAgain · 24/04/2019 23:09

Ooooh good answer @finallychangedmyusername !!

Ladywillpower · 25/04/2019 11:07

Well done finallychangedmyusername!

finallychangedmyusername · 25/04/2019 19:04

Yay, I'm back in the game! Just putting together a new clue now Grin

finallychangedmyusername · 25/04/2019 22:30

So... I think this might be very easy but here goes:

Positive topiary name with links to Joseph and Jacob and a depiction of a merchant's passing.

LadyGAgain · 25/04/2019 22:53

Benjamin?

Ladywillpower · 25/04/2019 23:04

Asher?

finallychangedmyusername · 26/04/2019 18:04

@Ladywillpowerhas it, Asher!

Asher means happy (positive), Ash = topiary, biblically his brother was Joseph and dad was Jacob. Depiction of a merchant's passing is the play Death of a Salesman, by Arthur Miller, whose middle name is Asher.

Ladywillpower · 26/04/2019 18:15

Smile another clue for you.
An evergreen conifer who befriended a playwright! He drives a Ford Prefect.

finallychangedmyusername · 26/04/2019 18:40

Douglas?

finallychangedmyusername · 26/04/2019 18:43

Douglas fir tree, Douglas Adams wrote The Hitchhikers Guide to The Galaxy, with Ford Prefect, Lord Alfred Douglas had a friendship with Oscar Wilde.

Ladywillpower · 26/04/2019 20:27

Excellent finallychangedmyusername.
Over to you

finallychangedmyusername · 26/04/2019 20:32

Monday saw the birth of this sunny and serene royal baby. His future is definitely in music - either rap music or piano.

FintyTin · 26/04/2019 20:56

Solomon?

finallychangedmyusername · 26/04/2019 21:19

So quick @FintyTin!

Solomon Grundy was born on a Monday, King Solomon was a royal, the name Solomon means calm/serene, Sol translates as sun and finally Solomon Ray the rapper and "just" Solomon the pianist.

Ladywillpower · 27/04/2019 14:29

Wow that was quick!

FintyTin · 27/04/2019 20:43

Thanks. That was a great clue! Here’s another (although possibly not a great one...)

This chap’s name can be the repeated call of a ‘bird’, and he’s not fond of cats. He might take a stroll to wake you up in the morning or make a strong connection on the big screen.

Ladywillpower · 29/04/2019 11:50

I’m stumped with this one!
Rocky?

FintyTin · 29/04/2019 20:35

Not Rocky, sorry.
