Excellent, I got Hunt and Clarkson, but not all the reasons. Will post a new clue shortly!

finallychangedmyusername · 02/04/2019 15:15

Here you all are (hope there's still a few of us playing!)

This guy was on his way to a fete when he met a pastry chef.
Another guy by the same name declares he likes to play games.
And you'd need good memory to recall the third example of this name: quickly, colourfully and sequentially. (He's not a man himself, but was popular in the 70s and 80s).

LadyGAgain · 02/04/2019 19:02

Simon?

finallychangedmyusername · 02/04/2019 19:30

So quick @LadyGAgain! Grin

"Simple Simon met a pieman (going to the fair)", "Simon says" (the game) and Simon the electronic game.

LadyGAgain · 03/04/2019 00:00

Thanks! I love pies GrinGrin

New clue;

He challenges what you think you know - garlic and crosses mean nothing. He is responsible for divide and multiply and very handy to have around when you need a haircut.

FintyTin · 05/04/2019 13:00

Ed(ward)?

LadyGAgain · 05/04/2019 19:03

Yessss @FintyTin!
Edward Cullen from Twilight,
Edd Sheeran and Edward Scissorhands. Over to you!

finallychangedmyusername · 05/04/2019 20:20

Nicely played @FintyTin, that one had me flummoxed! Grin

finallychangedmyusername · 10/04/2019 12:29

Could we please have another clue/name @FintyTin? Smile

FintyTin · 12/04/2019 09:33

Hello! Sorry for disappearing. Great clues as always LadyGAgain

This comical chap used to play the fool, but he can be extremely sharp; and he’s as hard as stone in his field.
One owner of the name had the top job; another’s son wants it; and, unusually, another was the mother of a man who got to the top.

LadyGAgain · 14/04/2019 07:46

Yessss new clues. I am stumped. Jack?

finallychangedmyusername · 14/04/2019 15:53

Bill?

DuggeeHugs · 14/04/2019 19:37

George?

Ladywillpower · 17/04/2019 01:57

Stanley?

finallychangedmyusername · 17/04/2019 02:46

Or Lee? (I'm not just haphazardly guessing here, these are educated guesses). Grin

FintyTin · 17/04/2019 19:40

@Ladywillpower has it with Stanley:
The comical reference was to both Stan Laurel and Stan Lee. A Stanley knife is sharp. The name means ‘stone field’. The top jobs were Stanley Baldwin, Boris (son of Stanley) Johnson, and Barack Obama whose mother’s full name at birth was Stanley Ann Dunham.

Well done and over to you...
😁

Ladywillpower · 17/04/2019 20:19

My first go at this so hope it is ok!

A good fairy, created by Stella & partner to Jerome.

finallychangedmyusername · 18/04/2019 03:25

Well done @Ladywillpower - I'm pondering your clue right now (with a face like this - Confused) Grin

finallychangedmyusername · 18/04/2019 03:29

Ok here goes, Grin, Dorothy?

DuggeeHugs · 18/04/2019 12:01

Ladywillpower · 19/04/2019 12:03

Not got it yet but don’t think I have given enough clues!
“Not Maleficent & helper of a bonnie prince”

FintyTin · 19/04/2019 20:42

Flora?

Ladywillpower · 19/04/2019 21:13

Well done Finty Tin 😃
