1 x Geoffrey

None of the others unless you’re counting diminutives too (Harry, Dougie, Alfie etc.... pretty sure none of them have full version on birth certificate)

Stat I heard recently from a reputable source was that last year there were more Khaleesis born in the UK than Helens.

One Alfred who is 10 (always known as Alfie).
One Mary who is 7 or 8.
Also an 11 year old John and 11 year old Maddie who I think is Madeleine.
One Betty who is toddler age.

Oh yes and a Dougie who is 9. Not sure if his full name is Douglas.

PlumsGalore · 29/05/2018 06:43

One Madeleine. That's it. But other than Madeleine I think they're all awful, except possibly Joanna (although the name is more my age than a child's) and Betty, so old it's come full circle.

1 Dorothy but only ever known as Dotty
2 Alfred both known as Alfie
1 John
4 Madeleines

I know of an Ada rather than Ida but none under 10s for the rest of your list

1 x Alfie (I do not know if his full name is Alfred) - toddler age
1 x Johnny and 1 x Jon (but Jon is definitely short for Jonathan and I think Johnny may be too) - aged about 8 and 10
Many x Harry but I think if they are short for anything, it tends to be Henry.

1 x Joanna - aged 8
1 x Mary-Anne (who is always called Mary-Anne, not just Mary) - aged 8
3 x Madeleine (and 1 x Madelyn) - Madeleines are about 5, 3 and newly-born, Madelyn is about 7
2 x Betty, 1 x Betsy (I think they are all Elizabeth as a full name) - both Bettys are aged about 9, Betsy is 3 or 4
An Ada but no Idas. Several x Anna and a couple of girls with Mary as a middle name but no other Anne or Mary besides the hyphenated Mary-Anne.

I also know Welsh children called Mari (x 2, aged about 10 and 4), Betsi (aged 3 or 4, possibly short for Betsan) and Beti (a baby)

I know a few Alfred's, a John, a Douglas (Dougie) and a Sidney. I know a few little Mary's but that's maybe because we are Catholic with a large catholic circle of friends! I also know two Joanna's and a Maddy.

One Betty and two or three Madeleines (or variant spellings). I know a John who's about 20 and an Alfred (usually called Alfie) who's about 18, and quite a lot of "just" Alfies who are younger.
