A tonne of Harrys and Alfies - I know you said Harold and Alfred, but realistically there is a good chance they'd get shortened at school.

I love a lot of those names. Douglas, Sidney, Gerald, Dorothy are all names I would definitely use.

Lots of Alfies. They may be Alfreds. A couple of Sids. A few Madeleines. A Betty. An ida (and an Ada). A new Dottie. I don’t think she’s a Dorothy

Most of these are not (only) pensioner names at all imo. I know at least one of: Betty, Madeleine, Anne, Dorothy, Douglas, Sidney, John, Alfred.
