I'm sure there has been many threads on this already.. read this morning that Mary is the hot favorite for girl & Henry for a boy.
Love Mary hope they use it, Princess Mary nice, fresh & underused, would be nice for Mary to have a comeback. Alice next at 6/1, prefer Mary.

Prince Jack...... yeah right!
Kate’s as staid as you can find.....she won’t veer from the most traditional of used royal names!

LatIt · 17/04/2018 20:31

Twins boys. Ronnie and Reggie.

CelticSelkie · 17/04/2018 20:36

I'm in Ireland and I'm not Catholic and I think we all understand that Mary the mother of Jesus is a Christian concept.

but yeh, I"ve had people say to me ''yoooz don't believe in Mary do you? (protestants!)

Kate’s as staid as you can find.....she won’t veer from the most traditional of used royal names!

As well as a name in its own right, Jack is traditionally a nickname for James, so if they name the baby James it could happen.

Vexatious · 17/04/2018 21:28

Jack is traditionally a nickname for John.

RoundaboutSnail · 17/04/2018 21:28

Actually I think it's traditionally a nickname for John... still it could happen.

RoundaboutSnail · 17/04/2018 21:28

X-post Vex.

Vexatious · 17/04/2018 21:29

Yes, John or Alice seem like the kind of names they'd go for.

Butterymuffin · 17/04/2018 23:18

But John is not favoured for royal kids as pp have said. So John/Jack are out. As is James I thought as Edward's son is James. What about Michael? After Kate's dad?

JustaLittlePrick · 18/04/2018 01:39

Nah, it won't be Michael - Prince Michael of Kent and Princess Pushy.

Bouncingbelle · 18/04/2018 01:55

I'm convinced the baby will be a boy called Arthur Philip Henry

If it's a girl my guess is Frances Mary Caroline or Eleanor Frances Mary

Thebirthdayparty · 18/04/2018 09:52

I can’t see Kate with a kid named Frances. Princess Caroline is the best ‘sounding’ name but I’m guessing it is a bit and will be named a string of the usual names but I think they will throw in Henry for good measure. Shane they used Louis as it is one of the nicer names imo. I still think a Welsh name would be very fitting.

JustaLittlePrick · 18/04/2018 10:15

bouncingbelle Arthur Philip Henry is a good guess I reckon. Maybe swap Henry for Michael though? For Kate's Dad?

I also can't see Frances being in there. Diana had a difficult relationship with her mother and I doubt the princes were close to her.

Buxbaum · 18/04/2018 10:23

I think Francis for a boy is more likely than a girl named Frances.

JustaLittlePrick · 18/04/2018 12:03

Francis as in the Pope?

Buxbaum · 18/04/2018 12:18

Good point.

morphyrichards99 · 18/04/2018 13:29

I'm thinking Matilda or Alice for a girl. Princess Matilda sounds very regal & goes nicely with Charlotte & George
Arthur or Henry for a boy

Bouncingbelle · 18/04/2018 21:45

Francis is Kate's dads middle name and frances was Diana's middle name which is what makes me think they'll use it.

CelticSelkie · 18/04/2018 21:47

oh yes, Francis or Frances would be refreshing. Don't LOVE it but I'd still think, wow, they've actually chosen something a bit interesting.

Thebirthdayparty · 18/04/2018 22:05

Share a name with Pope Francis? Hardly.

Vexatious · 18/04/2018 22:29

They're definitely not going to give their child the same name as the current Pope. Come on.

Bouncingbelle · 18/04/2018 22:55

I meant as a middle name, definately not first name! Let's face It, they are as staid as they come, im convinced they just go with the bookies choice each time!

Vexatious · 18/04/2018 23:03

Yes their taste in names is very middle england, very Boden, very Sunday afternoon visits to the garden centre. Certainly nothing that would even mildly alarm the horses.

TheDowagerCuntess · 18/04/2018 23:56

Hardly surprising. They don't really have the same scope for name experimentation as us mere mortals.

Failingat40 · 19/04/2018 00:21

Alice Rose or Alfred Henry would be lovely names.
