So my husband and I have recently decided we really like the name Wilf (admittedly this could be hormonal craziness).

However our surname is Wild.

Does this totally veto it or can it work because of the different sound of Wild to Wilf?

So Wilf Wild, yes or no?

Would Wilf be short for Wilfred?

I think it's cool and you could always go with Wilfred Wild which sounds absolutely fine.

I'm not sure about Wilf Wild as I have a funny thing about surnames needing a different number of syllables to first names.

However, Wilfred Wild is bloody ace and I say do it Smile
