Can't believe someone suggested Frostie Grin

Neve
Pronounced Neeve like Irish Niamh it doesn't mean "snow".
And everyone will pronounce it like that unless you live in Portugal or Italy.

Blanche is fabulous. Do it.

drspouse · 01/03/2018 13:23

PS Crystal always makes me think of either Cristal champagne or else even worse the drug.
So I would not choose it even if it were not very chavvy and I were not an immense snob.

george49 · 01/03/2018 14:06

Maybe people are getting alba confused with albero?

MrsElvis · 01/03/2018 14:15

Someone I know had an elf on the shelf called Snowbell......

MacavityTheDentistsCat · 01/03/2018 14:17

alba means white in Latin.

MacavityTheDentistsCat · 01/03/2018 14:22

I had actually always assumed that this is why Dumbledore is called Albus. Sort of to mark him out as being on the 'good' side ....

ProperLavs · 01/03/2018 14:30

yes latin, not spanish though ;)

Bumbl · 01/03/2018 14:45

Alba does mean white in Spanish, as well as dawn. It’s the first definition on the Real Academia Española dictionary .

snowplop · 01/03/2018 14:45

I taught a 'Winta' once.

BurningBright · 01/03/2018 14:48

andhardlyanywomenatall · 01/03/2018 15:02

the fact that it is snowing is no excuse for calling your child Snjokorn

andhardlyanywomenatall · 01/03/2018 15:04

op, user says it's fine because people with non-cow names get teased too. And user never got teased.
