Nova.

AnotherRoadsideAttraction · 13/02/2018 21:18

Nova.

SlimeSlimeEverywhere · 13/02/2018 21:18

Nova

upsideup · 13/02/2018 21:19

Nova only because I would end up calling her Novi as a nickname and I prefer than than Nolie. Nola is really lovely as well.
Also Supernova.

Chocolateyescakeyes · 13/02/2018 21:20

Thank you. Do you think Nova is considered Chavvy?

I’m afraid I would think of Vauxhall Nova. Prefer Nola.

Viviennemary · 13/02/2018 21:24

Don't like either of them I'm afraid. I've heard of Nula but not Nola.

DramaAlpaca · 13/02/2018 21:26

Vauxhall Nova here too.

So Nola, which is nice.

squoosh · 13/02/2018 21:32

New Orleans is known as Nola.

implantsandaDyson · 13/02/2018 21:38

I know a Nola- it's really grown on me. I wasn't sure when I first heard it but I think it's lovely. It doesn't get shortened or lengthened - she's just Nola.

TulipsInABlueVase · 13/02/2018 21:40

Nova. I love it. Does it have star/space connections?

Nola seems like a feminine version of Noel and I wouldn't want to name by child after Noel EdmondsGrin...

Unnoticed · 13/02/2018 21:40

A Nova was a small badly built car - I’d go with Nola.

sluj · 13/02/2018 21:44

Even Vauxhall had to change the name of the Nova for Europe when they realised it meant "no go" in Spanish.
To be honest both names sound very functional and plain, both are horrible

Sorry

Knitjob · 13/02/2018 21:45

Nola

floriad · 13/02/2018 21:54

Nola is really sweet. I like it :)

AmysTiara · 13/02/2018 22:03

Nova

DiegoMadonna · 13/02/2018 22:27

Nola

IVflytrap · 13/02/2018 22:58

Nola.

Nova sounds like every generic brand name from the 90s. It also means "new" which seems a bit uninspired.

Smoliver · 13/02/2018 23:04

I love Nova. Nola is pretty too but I do love Nova. I never though of the car at all (didn't even know it existed! Grin) I just think of stars.

Quote from another website:
A nova is a strong, rapid increase in the brightness of a star. The word comes from the latin for "new star," because often a star previously too dim to be seen with the naked eye can become the brightest object in the sky (besides the sun and the moon) when it becomes a nova.

RavenWings · 13/02/2018 23:50

Nova by a mile.

Nola reminds me of Nuala, which is an incredibly middle aged name in Ireland.

MissMoodyMoo · 14/02/2018 00:03

I'd say Nora sounds better?

Misericord · 14/02/2018 00:09

Nova makes me think Nova ring. Bit ironic. Sorry - just a worst case perspective.

SuperBeagle · 14/02/2018 01:44

Nova.

Nola would play bingo with Phyllis and Norma where I live.

buzzbottom · 14/02/2018 06:39

Nova!!!
That was on my list for a girl!

Itchytights · 14/02/2018 06:47

Neither.Shock
