The more I see people writing it the more I like it! I have heard some truly awful names e.g natalya, layson, jamieleigh etc

Scottie Katherine R

People who know her won't associate her with any of the above suggestions they will associate her name with her achievements, her character etc! I can't believe calling someone Scottie is getting such a bad reception whilst on another thread people are all squealing with delight about naming a child Tudor or Astrid😂

Again I take everyone's opinions on board and she may still be little Jessie in the end and I'm just having a mid life crisis lol!

I think you will find the same sensible people who thing Scottie is ridiculous think the same of those examples as well. It's not as if we are all saying your name is terrible but Tudor is a great name Hmm

@peppapigwouldmakelovelyrashers no I just have a sense of humour and don't take things too seriously. It's actually a really attractive trait in a person, it's called self deprecation. Good natured people can have a laugh, admit when they are wrong and basically be joyful and have fun with life. Same sort of people also are usually less judgmental too and open minded, not sweating the small stuff or getting 'confused' or accusatory of anyone else who is different. Mostly though its about being a secure playful woman who loves surrealism.

I'm going to call my new daughter Scottie-blue-ivy @peppapigwouldmakelovelyrashers do you think she will become a member of the taliban and the Scottish child protection will investigate me for neglect? I'll start a new thread soon for you to come and be 'subjective' on. Or am I confusing subjective with 'Uptight' again?

Alisvolatpropiis · 07/01/2018 12:43

Tudor is the Angliscised spelling of a Welsh name, Astrid is Scandinavian, Natalya is a Russian diminutive of Natalie.

Scottie is moronic

peppapigwouldmakelovelyrashers · 07/01/2018 12:43

It's called stream of conciousness wittering, I think?

Potteryprincess30 · 07/01/2018 12:47

Isn't that what a lot of what mumsnet is though? (and fun peppa, remember is supposed to be fun and a create a sense of sisterhood, support and community)

peppapigwouldmakelovelyrashers · 07/01/2018 12:49

uh huh. Your posts contain no fun or whimsy at all though, they are just weird. With hidden rudeness.

Sense of sisterhood? No thank you!

Potteryprincess30 · 07/01/2018 12:52

I am weird, but I'm ok with it. I hope things get easier for you Flowers

Potteryprincess30 · 07/01/2018 13:02

Also 'hidden' (you canny thing you caught me out you did) rudeness is still better then bare faced rudeness. People who are constantly rude, bitter and judgmental on here really are the ones on 'the glue' so to speak

Potteryprincess30 · 07/01/2018 13:07

What really helps me @peppapigwouldmakelovelyrashers is to 'Breathe in peace and to breathe out stress'. It's incredibly useful especially for me working as a paramedic Smile and really helps not sweating the small stuff and having perspective and humanity

numberthr · 07/01/2018 13:14

Isn’t there a female Scotty on Suits?

NurseJay · 07/01/2018 13:33

I also really like the name perry?

I feel like I've completely gone off Jessica!

Potteryprincess30 · 07/01/2018 13:37

@NurseJay Perry is nice, I really like the sound of it. I've always really thought the nickname 'P' as well was kind of completely adorably gorgeous. Was looking at P names for my next addition too but settled on something else now i think Smile

SheGotBetteDavisEyes · 07/01/2018 13:37

Perry can be a short name for Perelandra.

BertrandRussell · 07/01/2018 13:41

“Perry can be a short name for Perelandra.”

Perelandra? Seriously?

DollyLlama · 07/01/2018 13:41

I really like it actually Smile

SheGotBetteDavisEyes · 07/01/2018 13:51

Perelandra? Seriously?

It's not usually a name but Scotia could be a name. NN could be Scottie

daisypond · 07/01/2018 14:22

Perry is a boy's name. You could have Peri maybe - as in the Hollyoaks character. Or Perrie - as in the singer from Little Mix. Maybe short for Petronella?

Namechange16 · 07/01/2018 14:24

Put yourself in these shoes: think about when you're out and about. Would you like to be called Scottie. I wouldn't

Namechange16 · 07/01/2018 14:25

The pp who said you were going to name your dd Scotland... are you American? I only ask because a Kardashian called her kid Penelope Scotland.

AnnieHoo · 07/01/2018 15:01

How about Scott as a middle name?

NurseJay · 07/01/2018 17:22

Stuck between

Jessica Katie R

Scottie Katherine R

Or

Perry Katie R

Ugh why's it so tough! And why do I keep changing my mind

Perelandra is the name of a fictional planet in a religio/science fiction novel from the 1950s (ish)
