How on earth do I name this baby girl!?

I am so stressed right now Sad she's 5 weeks and 2 days. We can't agree on anything. He says he doesn't like any name apart from Lily 🙄 Lily is okay but definitely not a name that I see her being. I really love April but he says that as she was born so close to April it would just be stupid and that her nickname would become 'Ape/Apes' Confused

She doesn't even look like either name tbh so I don't really know what to do. He likes Kiera and I think it's okay if spelt Ciara but still not 100% and he doesn't like it spelt like that as he thinks people will spell and pronounce it wrong.

So lost right now.

We both quite like Mollie (he hates the y spelling 🙄) but will she be Mols (sounds like moles???)

Help!!

Omg just need to say she's beautiful I like
Harper
April is cute
Willow
Lila
Isla

hawkmcqueen · 21/06/2017 11:15

She actually does look like a Mollie to me! She is beautiful. I know two Mollies and both beautiful and friendly girls.

I also liked the suggestions of Clara or Cara. Congrats!!

I like the suggestion of Lila. Very apt.

Molly is sweet and would suit her. The Molly I know gets Molly-Moo rather than Molls.

April is lovely too and I don't think the shortening to Apes is inevitable.

Iris?

Rednailsandnaeknickers · 21/06/2017 12:08

She's stunning. I think an Italian dramatic sounding name would suit her beauty and colouring so I love the suggestions of Francesca, Florence, Ciara (yes it's Italian as well as Irish, and is pronounced key ah ra!) and Sienna (the town is Siena with one N but you know what I mean).

Like a PP i also picture Molly/mollie as blond for some reason, not sure why! Maybe a character from childhood that I've forgotten the origin but the imagery sticks.

JingsAndCrivens · 21/06/2017 12:10

What about Paloma or Ines? She does have a Mediterranean look.

Rednailsandnaeknickers · 21/06/2017 12:10

Another look, she could suit Abigail or Natasha too?
Lily is very overused round here at the moment but is a pretty name anyway.

BridgeMichaels · 21/06/2017 12:23

MIL is Spanish so she has 100% taken her genes!

Thank you for all the lovely suggestions

She's a scrumptious beauty and I'm sure she'll suit whichever name you settle on.

QueenofEsgaroth · 21/06/2017 12:37

That looks like baby Leah to me.

Or how about incorporating May, it is a lovely name,
Lily May,
Mollie May (I know lots of doggies named Mollie right now so a bit off that)
Rosemary
Rose May

not very helpful . . .

TomaszCanSchafernakerMeAnytime · 21/06/2017 12:43

Please not Lily or Lily-May/Mai. There's so many around already, I know about 10 of them.
I love Lila, I'm having that for my future DD (will never happen but it can in my mind)
She does look like a Francesca, it really suits her and the nickname Chesca is fab.

My DD's nickname is Mole as its rhymes with her name and I have had someone ask if her name is Mollie before. I also know a Mollie and she does get called Molls.

JennyOnAPlate · 21/06/2017 12:53

I love Mollie. Although if you go with the ie spelling you will do a lot of "mollie with an ie" to anyone who wants to spell it!

StarHeartDiamond · 21/06/2017 12:59

I love Lily, it's cute, just like she is!

squoosh · 21/06/2017 13:08

She definitely looks more like a Mollie than a Lily. In my head Lilys are fair and Mollies are dark haired.

She is gorgeous though! Congratulations.

MotherofA · 21/06/2017 13:29

Luna ?
Luana

haveacupoftea · 21/06/2017 13:41

She is so beautiful. I'd steer away from the English Rose names for that little lady and consider some Spanish names!

marmitecheesetoast · 21/06/2017 13:44

Congrats OP, totally gorgeous girl!! Agree she looks like a Mollie/Molly to me! Though also really like the suggestions of Lila or Jasmine, think she'd suit either of those too. What a beauty!

Backhometothenorth · 21/06/2017 14:25

She would also be a beautiful Lucia

QueenofEsgaroth · 21/06/2017 14:26

OOH, how about Pilar, then you still get April in a roundabout way Grin

Coral??

Foureyesarebetterthantwo · 21/06/2017 14:29

I was also going to suggest Lucia.

beachdream · 21/06/2017 14:33

She is lovely! Congratulations.
What about another flower?
Poppy
Iris
Violet
Daisy
