It's very much looked down upon on MN - lumped together with Jayden, Kayden and Kai.

Reow · 20/04/2017 21:14

Awful imo, sorry.

MajesticWhine · 20/04/2017 21:16

No. Don't like it. Is it really a name?

n0ne · 20/04/2017 21:17

Sorry, don't like it at all

Sparrowlegs248 · 20/04/2017 21:17

I think it's quite common atm. I don't dislike it though.

Williamson1985 · 20/04/2017 21:19

Oh Sad what about Ryan?

OP posts:
ArriettyClock1 · 20/04/2017 21:19

Ryan is just as bad.

WallisFrizz · 20/04/2017 21:21

I don't like it but you and your OH do and that is what matters.

I think Ryan is a lovely name.

Williamson1985 · 20/04/2017 21:21

Ryan means 'little king' Smile

OP posts:
AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 20/04/2017 21:22

Ryan is nicer than Caden.

Justmuddlingalong · 20/04/2017 21:22

Choose whichever name you and your DP like. The parents on MN got to choose their kids' names, now it's your turn. Flowers Congratulations.

Dontrocktheboat · 20/04/2017 21:22

Ryan is not my cup of tea but it is a lot better than Caden.

What about Aidan/ Aiden.

histinyhandsarefrozen · 20/04/2017 21:23

Congratulations! I like Ryan.

KavvLar · 20/04/2017 21:23

Congratulations on your little boy. Flowers

Caden is a fairly 'of the moment' name and I suspect it will probably date badly. However if you and DH like it, go for it. I prefer Ryan but that's only my opinion.

MajesticWhine · 20/04/2017 21:23

Ryan is a good name

OvariesForgotHerPassword · 20/04/2017 21:24

Love love love Caden.

Wolfiefan · 20/04/2017 21:25

I don't like Caden. I did know a lovely Cade though.

RandomDent · 20/04/2017 21:25

Ive taught loads of Kayden, Kaidyns, Caden etc. I quite like it, and Caden is my favourite spelling. Congratulations on his arrival. :)

Williamson1985 · 20/04/2017 21:27

Thanks Smile

We definitely prefer Caden to Ryan, but do like Ryan.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 20/04/2017 21:32

It just conjures up to me a really badly behaved child, and a mother who'd rip anyone's head off if they dared challenge his behavior.
I hope I've not upset you or anyone, but. You did ask for opinions
Ryan's okay though, and quite unusual now

tinytoucan · 20/04/2017 21:40

Go with what you like- it's you that will be calling the name up the stairs when he's older! I heard of a baby named Cohen recently. It's not particularly my cup of tea, but sounds similar?

tinytoucan · 20/04/2017 21:41

Btw I quite like Ryan- maybe time for a come back! But Caden is quite cute- definitely prefer the C spelling to the K

User1635974 · 20/04/2017 21:44

I don't like it, sorry.

What about: Charles / Carlo / Christopher / Calum as alternatives?

Yogagirl123 · 20/04/2017 21:45

Caden is lovely, so is Ryan, choose whatever name you like, you can never please everyone. Xx

SuperBeagle · 20/04/2017 21:56

I don't like Caden or Ryan, sorry OP. How about Caleb? Smile

Congrats!
