When I was training to be a solicitor, I spent time in a department of a pretty major law firm with a partner called Tracey and a senior solicitor called Sharon. They were both highly successful, intelligent, professional and well-respected women. So I don't think that you are going to hamper your extremely sweet baby's potential legal career by calling him Caden. .

histinyhandsarefrozen · 21/04/2017 11:18

He's lovely, OP!

socialanxietysrus · 21/04/2017 11:48

Oh man! He's so beautiful!!!!!!

I think he's definitely a Caden x

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 21/04/2017 11:53

What a handsome little fellow.
Congratulations

MyGastIsFlabbered · 21/04/2017 12:48

He's gorgeous! I think whatever you call your children people will have an opinion and have no filter when it comes to giving you their views.

I've got a Freddie and a Bertie, some people don't like them but they mean something to me, they really suit their names and I really couldn't care what others think.

In fact when I think about it, in every single aspect of parenting people will have an opinion and judge you. Just grow a thick skin, ignore and enjoy your beautiful baby boy

ShotsFired · 21/04/2017 12:53

It's the brother or sister (can't actually tell the gender immediately from the name) to Aspen in the pp thread.

It's all Boden and Love Life Live plaques, Making Memories cushions and faux-aged white wooden furniture round your house.

berkshyre · 21/04/2017 13:01

He's absolutely gorgeous Smile

I guess this thread shows you what a certain demographic thinks of the name. If you love it, use Caden! I think Cedric is 10000 times worse.

squoosh · 21/04/2017 13:07

It would be kinder to leave a person nameless than to call them Cedric.

I quite like Caden OP and he looks absolutely gorgeous. Congrats!

Snugglepalace · 21/04/2017 13:07

Beautiful baby congratulations! Choosing a name is so hard. Dh great grandad was called Cally I always liked that. I also really like Nathan.

squoosh · 21/04/2017 13:07

And Cade is very cool.

Aquamarine1029 · 21/04/2017 16:07

What about Camden?

What a cutie!!!

I really dislike Kayden...but I actually quite like it when spelled Caden.

OP, it's your baby. If you and your partner love it and think it suits him, go for it. You don't want to settle for something else and have regrets. And you don't need Mumsnet's permission to name your child.

FeedTheSharkAndItWIllBite · 21/04/2017 19:08

What a cute baby! He is adorable!

I seriously love Ryan.
I personally dislike Kayden. Caden isn't my cup of tea, but it's ok. There are far worse names imo (Jayden, for example...)

FluffyMcCloud · 21/04/2017 19:10

The Kaden I know is a girl. It suits her and I think it's a sweet name.
Ryan is a lovely name.

IckleWicklePumperNickle · 21/04/2017 19:11

He looks like a Cade. Beautiful Halo

FeedTheSharkAndItWIllBite · 21/04/2017 19:12

It would be kinder to leave a person nameless than to call them Cedric.

I personally love Cedric. I went to school with a relly nice boy named Cedric and I've liked the name ever since... But mumsnetters don't seem to like the name (at all).

I personally think Caden is a perfectly fine name. I personally don't like it. But that's just a personal preference...

WaitrosePigeon · 21/04/2017 19:13

He's lovely. Enjoy x

Rednailsandnaeknickers · 21/04/2017 19:25

Awww he's gorgeous! Congrats OP.

He looks like a Cade to me, more than Caden. Cade somehow seems like a more interesting name - I could imagine an actor, artist, gangster or suave businessman all called Cade! Cade is more unusual and doesn't have the same link to the Kayden/Jayden/Kai group of loved/hated/judged names.

Staring at his pic, to me he could also be a Daniel, Nate or Matthew.

spiderlight · 21/04/2017 20:09

I like Caden!

CaipirinhasAllRound · 21/04/2017 21:25

He's very cute, congrats!
If you love Caden, go with it

Mummamayhem · 22/04/2017 10:08

He's gorgeous!! And cade is great!

Mrsknackered · 22/04/2017 12:37

He is gorgeous, I actually really like Caden (and he suits it!)

MikeUniformMike · 22/04/2017 14:50

I don't like Caden. Ryan is a popular name in the local paper's court section.

MikeUniformMike · 22/04/2017 14:52

He's gorgeous. Congratulations.
