What a lovely thread this is.
Just what an expectant/new mum is looking for when searching for ideas for their baby.

ThoraGruntwhistle · 27/02/2017 14:52

Bingo - found them both! DS's name is boring and DD's is twee. Hurrah! Good to know.

billybigballs · 27/02/2017 14:57

This is not a nice thread OP.

MrsChopper · 27/02/2017 14:58

DS's name has been mentioned a few times on this thread and I could not care less. It suits him perfectly! Smile

Personally I can't think of any names that make my toes curl. Each to their own and all that jazz.

CaptainCabinet · 27/02/2017 15:11

It's taste though isn't it. Everyone's taste is different.

derxa · 27/02/2017 15:13

Conchsplodger
Bondo
Kaeli-Ray
Dingwiddler
Classic names but they don't do it for me.

SaltySalt · 27/02/2017 16:21

None of my three sons names have been mentioned (preen) or dp,s but mine has but a different spelling. And I love the names Ashley Alexandria Sam Michael Peter Johnny and Emmett. Ooh and I love Ira! Not saying which names I dislike because i don't want to.

SaltySalt · 27/02/2017 16:23

derxa is it weird that I like Bondo?

Upyourdaisy · 27/02/2017 16:32

Dd1's name is hyphenated. Not one I've heard too often though, which is Lilly-marie

ymmv · 27/02/2017 16:43

I've been looking through this thread for inspiration. Grin

derxa · 27/02/2017 16:45

Salty Each to their own Grin

inappropriateraspberry · 27/02/2017 16:57

Jayden, Kayden, Jaxon, Harrison, Riley, Cooper, actually most names that are also surnames I'm afraid! Bailey, Oakley. For some reason I can only think of boy's names!

inappropriateraspberry · 27/02/2017 17:05

Tbh I much prefer the traditional names. Also don't like Lee/Leigh for a boy or girl - same with Ashley/Ashleigh.

MollyHuaCha · 27/02/2017 17:40

Poor Kaydens... they are really getting a bashing on this thread. Shock

LobsterQuadrille · 27/02/2017 17:51

The name I've always wanted to know is the narrator of Rebecca. Her name is described as "lovely and unusual" by Max. I suspect that many on this thread would disagree 😀

kel1234 · 27/02/2017 18:26

I keep saying it, but still so much dislike of hyphenated names

Ponderingprivately · 27/02/2017 18:30

Amelia. I don't know why I just hate it. I am clearly in a tiny minority as it's mega popular but i hate it. Also feel the same about Evelyn.

Lemondrop09 · 27/02/2017 18:33

Edgar
Nigel
Igor
Norman
Boris

Gertrude
Ethel
Phylis
Gladys
Agatha

May these names never have a come back!

HollywoodStunt · 27/02/2017 18:33

Not very sure to post on this thread but names got no interest in are

Scott, Josh, Luca/s, Luke, Rory, Sebastian, Lola, Yvonne and I once knew a girl called Pocka Hmm

Just my irrelevant opinion, can't all like the same thing

stuckinthehouse · 27/02/2017 18:33

There are some really popular names that I feel this way about so I'm sure to offend some but here goes:

Jessica
Isabella
Nina
Callum
Dylan
Ralph

sonlypuppyfat · 27/02/2017 18:38

Debbie just fucking Debbie, never mind it's the nickname for my name but I loath it. It's just silly.

dippyeggsfortea · 27/02/2017 18:40

Ah all my 3 DCs GrinGrin they're all on here!

theresamustgo · 27/02/2017 18:51

Alec. I don't know why. I don't like Alex for a boy either, which is odd because I like words with X usually. Also Alan gets my nose wrinkling.

Gummibears · 27/02/2017 18:54

I really dislike Alfie and Archie!

Owlish · 27/02/2017 19:01

My cousin has a grandson called Kamron. It's chavvy, but then, so is my cousin . Plus my autocorrect thinks it's wrong, too.
