DS was born a bit early yesterday after a v.fast labour which has left me a bit shell shocked. We knew we were a bit stuck for names but assumed inspiration would strike when he was born.....sadly not!

I really love Kit, but a) Dh is not convinced, and b) it's recent celebrity use puts me off.....

Names we like but maybe not enough include Edward, Jack, Luke, Eric, and Tom.

Been doing some 2am googled (so my judgement might be a bit off) and have seen Wolf, Heath, Ash, Robin (but dislike Rob as a nn).

Help. As you can see the names are all a bit random. He'll be Baby for a while at this rate :-(

Great choice! Congratulations!

P.S. esp. since I'd approve anything to do with Narnia ;)
But sounds beautiful anyway, plus not common at all compared to Edward which has become mega popular (since Twilight?)

Awww! He has just made me go all weepy seeing his lovely new face. Congratulations! Love the name too! Thanks

Always late to the party... I came on to support zipzap's suggestion but you got there anyway!
Many congratulations and welcome to the world Edmund James!
My 19yr old DS is an Edmund and it has served him well. We meant to nn him Ned but forgot to use it. Our GP used to call him 'little Blackadder' but in a jolly sort of a way and Blackadder is well in the past for your little boy.
Our Edmund is now Ed to all his friends/teachers/tutors but still Edmund in the family. He genuinely likes both. ( and he likes Turkish Delight too!)
Once again, enjoy your little Nedlet/Tedmund/Edmondo ( all endearments our DS has been called) I can't tell you how happy I am that there is another little Edmund in the world.
